We don’t need to defund the police, but we do need to reform them.Even mainstream Democrats aren't crazy enough to defund the cops...The “defund the police” movement has crashed and burned in New York City, perhaps putting a welcome close to one of the dumber chapters in police reform debates.
Current Mayor Bill de Blasio had promised some $1.5 billion in cuts to the city’s police department, but few of those cuts came to fruition. Instead, de Blasio reversed the decision to scrap a new NYPD precinct in Southeast Queens. The city will now spend $105 million to build it.
The 'defund the police' movement falls flat on its face in New York City
The Gang-of-Four... AOC et al... and their lickspittle sissy-minions are full of $hit clean up to their ears...
No we need people to obey the law and obey police officers.
The system works just fine for anyone who doesn't break the law. And of the thousands of arrests and interactions with police everyday across the country and few bad incidents is worth it for the greater good. You want to reform all police over problems with less than 1% of all arrests. And even most of those less than 1% of problems wouldn't have been a problem to begin with if they simply obeyed the law.
We spent a year screaming "fuck the police" and now everyone wants to blame them instead of blaming people who broke the law.
