Cohen introduced the constitutional amendments on the first night of the 116th Congress, both digs at Trump.

High time too at abolishing the electoral college. This is considering it was rigged and polluted two times, once in 2000 in favor of Dubya and again in 2016 in favor of a Russian puppet, unAmerican GOPer crony and maniac tRump. The electoral college is a antiquated system that deviated from its initial purpose of over 200 years ago. That was a time that only college educated people could decide who becomes POTUS. This check and balance was in order to prevent demagogues from entering the White House as some so-called president. As such, the electoral college dropped the ball at violating U.S. Constitutional law when it comes to rigging the chief demagogue tRump in there.

Democrats should run heavily on getting rid of The Electoral College. Given they already have California and New York wrapped up, this will resonate well with swing voters in smaller states. By all means, please, campaign on getting rid of The Electoral College.... it will work wonders for Democrats as they communicate its benefits to the smaller, less populated states.
