First you dumb down the schools, then you dumb down the media, then you dumb down your candidates so that it all fits together in line. Finally, you pressure the rest so that they become afraid to question anything for fear of reprisal by stepping out from groupthink and thinking for themselves.

Lastly, you call everyone still with a mind of their own, a CULT, to polarize them from the faithful complicit brainwashed.

Then you call what remains "an election."
