Dems propose change to electoral college voting rules

If the VP's role in overseeing the counting of the electoral vote college is purely ceremonial, then why even bother involving the VP?

What are we supposed to do if one or more states determine that enough fraud existed to bring the outcome in doubt? What if a state decides to overturn the results and hold an interim election, what if they decide that before the president-elect is sworn in? What if it's after? Should there be a date after which it's tough-shit, you gotta live with the person you voted in?

At the state and local level, IMHO they can handle it in-house, however they choose. But what about at the national level, for president, senate, and House representatives? I assume (don't really know) that both chambers of Congress could handle that on their own way, whatever that is. But what should happen if a state determines that Senator "X" or representative "Y" ought to be recalled due to fraud or maybe some other reason, should the US Congress have the authority to say no? What if that one seat causes a shift in who is the majority party? 50-50 becomes 50-49, right?

As far as I know, there is no current law or mechanism to remove a president after he/she is sworn in, other than impeachment with a guilty verdict in the Senate, or Article 25.

I don't see any prohibition on congress passing laws on how a state's electoral votes are counted.
That isnt how the Constitution works. It lays out what the federal can do.
Meaning the EC can vote however they want and if the Country wants it changed, it will need an amendment.
Thats why several states created the popular vote compact. To avoid an amendment process.

So far as I know, if that compact turned out to be the deciding factor in who got elected, would it be considered constitutional? What if a state election went to candidate "A" but the compact forced that state's EC electors to vote for "B", would that be allowed?

Since the states laws will reflect that, yes.

For a bunch of supposed “winners” y’all do an awful lot of crying.
The only person doing alot of screaming and hollering are Trumpers. All screaming and hollering because you all lost an election and are too emotionally fragile to admit it.

We’ll “admit it” when we see actual evidence for it. More and more evidence keeps coming out showing the contrary.

Because democrats cheat steal and lie constantly.

Well, you've guys have had 15 months now to produce evidence of cheating...you've produced nothing.

We should have a president elect in place by 12/1. By 12/2, the incumbent administration should be forced to "open the books" to the incoming administration by law so that transition is as smooth as possible.

The law in question has nothing to do with "securing elections." You count the votes, if you don't like it, you can pay for a recount, and sometimes get it free, if you think you were robbed, go to court and prove it. Trump lost, get the fuck over it.
Trump won, and when Republicans take over next year. They will impeach Biden and vote to fire Fauci and convict and execute him for crimes against humanity.
