Der Gropenfürher’s Missile Attack On Syria Was Motivated by Profit, Not Policy

It cost way more than that. I read that these specific missiles with the targetting technology they do cost 1.4 million a piece. Add on the recon, planning, and logistic costs and this strike cost over 100 million dollars.

Only six standard Mig-23 floggers confirmed killed via actual evidence. That's only like 11 million dollars in damage.

It sent a priceless message.
This attack was all about sending a message to Assad and Trump's dinner guest. The op is the 19th liberal to complain about the government spending money. It makes me laugh. I thought every government dollar spent creates two dollars. They have been claiming that for years.

It is always amazing how conservatives are so easily fooled. Of course, their love for war and the killing of other humans (except the unborn) is well known, so rational people expect right-wingers to be thrilled by Der Gropenfürher’s missile attack on Syria.

Unfortunately, Der Gropenfürher’s decision to launch the strike was a business decision, not one of strategic policy.

The costs to the taxpayers for that one single missile strike will be over $60 million dollars. Tomahawk missiles cost roughly $1 million per unit, so Der Gropenfürher’s folly just guaranteed Raytheon Co. a handsome additional profit over and above what they would have expected. Also, Der Gropenfürher’s family members will appreciate the ongoing honoraria from the defense industries like Raytheon Co. as their show of thanks for his war “policies” (wink, wink).

It is certain Der Gropenfürher’s future decisions to launch missile attacks on other countries will be welcomed by the U.S. war profiteers and conservatives alike. But we all know the real money is made with an all-out invasion and a protracted U.S. military presence which kills, maims, and disfigures thousands of our troops. It is this human carnage that generates the most profit, as it also forces the replacement of countless billions-of-dollars of spent, damaged, and destroyed war materials.

Additionally, conservatives, the war profiteers, and especially Der Gropenfürher are pleased that the number of young Americans available to be sent into conflict-for-profit is nearly inexhaustible. And given Der Gropenfürher’s many cronies in the defense industry, the next few year are going to cost a lot of U.S. lives, and put hundreds-of-billions-of-dollars into the pockets of the same small group of people as did Dubya's useless wars.

Here’s how much it costs to replace the 59 Tomahawk missiles Trump fired on Syria

Sadly, conservatives are much too stupid to realize this. The comic value of the right-wingers' stupidity will be seen in their following comments. Enjoy.

It's one thing to be anti-war and consistent about it. And to come up with RATIONAL arguments about our generally failed Mid-East policy. It's quite another thing to try and wrap that all up in a leftist Anti-Capitalist Pita sandwich with Hummus -- if the stakes are that high.

Makes it so that folks question your commitment to saving those lives and treasure. ESPECIALLY if YOUR alternative to the one you call "der GrupenFuhrer" was a hack that destabilized Libya, and planned to create no-flys zones over Syria in conflict with the Russians. To do it HER WAY -- would have required blasting the ENTIRE Syrian air and air defense system to smithereens and KEEPING the Russians from replacing it.

Seems like she might have been even GREEDIER about that "profit motive" sandwich that you just whipped up..

The left really thinks that missiles are replaced like when they ate all the cupcakes. If you gobbled six cupcakes and don't replace them, the next persom wanting a cupcake will have to go without.

Become familiar with the term "inventory". The order is placed for 100 or 200 missiles. They are put in inventory. The sixty missiles came from inventory. No one looks at these sixty missiles and thinks goody, now they will have to be replaced. Nope. The next order just goes in.

I have asked. How would a no fly zone work? That was the dem plan.

Not many good answers to a "partial plan" like that. Don't NEED a no-fly zone to set up safe zones. And grounding the Syrian Air Force just will prolong the hostilities.

It sent a priceless message.

Oh yeah. Russia took the hint and is now ramping up Syrian anti-air defenses and sending naval reinforcements to the region. Did you hear about how they pulled out of the deconfliction agreement with the US?

Get ready, the days of sitting back and doing nothing is over, someone has to be the bully on the playground so might as well be America. If not us then who ?

The missile attack on Syria was motivated by political desperation – not policy, not in an effort to end the war, and not to end human suffering.

The Iraq War put a premium on the price of oil for about a decade.

With Exxon Rex Tillerson running the State Department and having the ear of 'president' Trump...

...that's your connect the dots mission for today.

The scariest thing right now is the possibility that Trump's approval rating jumps as a result of this attack. He is obsessed with his approval rating,

and if an act of war helps him, god help us.
