Did leftists claim the sky was falling when Reagan did same thing Trump is doing?

Reagan added $3 trillion to the national debt

One clear example of the G7's importance came in the 1980s, when the Reagan administration successfully negotiated a lower value for the U.S. dollar with France, Britain, Japan, and Germany. That deal closed a looming American trade deficit and headed off the threat of Trump-style tariffs.

Reagan balanced trade — Trump can, too

If so its OBVIOUS the left HATES America and loves the coastal elitists destroying the country...
Lol, this is so not like what Regan did it's not even funny.

The problem is that Trump has negotiated nothing yet

The sky is always falling. If it were not, there would be no need for progress.

Other than the tax cut, I don't see much of Ronald Reagan's policies in fashion with Trump.

CLEVELAND — President Reagan said today that the nation's massive trade deficit may actually be a good sign for the economy and that he doesn't expect a recession unless "enough people get frightened."

Reagan said, however, that the U.S. trade imbalance could be eased if economic allies "become more like us: to adopt low-tax, pro-growth policies; to encourage trade, not discourage it--to make it freer and fairer and more plentiful."

The budget deficit, on the other hand, "is an embarrassment and a shame--most dangerous, perhaps, because it signals the complete breakdown of one of the most basic functions of the U.S. government."

Trade Deficits May Be Good for U.S.: Reagan

Don't be Stupider Than You Have To Be.

This is I thing like what Regan did, and as someone else pointed out what Regan did wasn't exactly a great thing either.

Trump is facing something that Reagan never did. The Islamisation of Europe. The Europeans are fighting for their own demise and Trump represents survival. Can't have that.

He's negotiated quite a bit. He is also JUST starting...China has blinked on trade its just funny to me that the EU and Canada think they can beat Trump at this when even China realizes they can't.https://nypost.com/2018/04/10/stocks-bounce-as-china-blinks-on-trade/
