Maybe Democrats long-time methodology of using the courts as a weapon against Republicans, is finally fizzling out. Yesterday, their lawsuit, alleging "conspiracy", by the Trump campaign, to influence the 2016 presidential election, went straight into the trash can.
Also vindicated, in the ruling, was the Russian government and Wikileaks. US District Judge John Koeltl based his judgement on the principle of "sovereign immunity" that foreign nations have, plus the Constitution's First Amendment of Free Speech. The judge ruled that holding Wikileaks and the Trump campaign liable for dissemination of hacked emails, is unconstitutional.
As part of their defense, the Trump campaign had argued in court filings that the Mueller report, having found insufficient evidence to establish a criminal conspiracy with Russia, gave further proof that the DNC lawsuit was frivolous.
Another defeat for Democrats, if after the Mueller debacle anybody thought the foolish Russian collusion hoax still had any possible merit, anyway.
