Does anyone really believe there was almost 700000 new jobs created last month?

Not having to show, vaccination records for one. Creates an atmosphere where
people can go out to eat again. More demand for employees.
That wasn't hard, Hutch, didn't your masters explain that too you?
It’s not hard when you just drop nonsense without any specificity.
Where were those “restrictions”?
700k jobs came solely from restaurants?

Denial. You tax people to oblivion. There is a high percentage of people who do play by rules set down for thousands of years. And we all have flaws. You promote the individual flaws and let others pay for the results.

They are not "new jobs". They are existing jobs that were shut down over the last two years.
Now, the blue states are easing the restrictions and more and more people are going back to their jobs.
That's what Republicans said about Obama's job growth too. So how many years do we need to go back for the numbers to really count? Clinton?

It's not 678K "jobs created", it's 678K net jobs. Net payroll positions. What happens every month is millions of people quit their jobs, and millions of people take new jobs. The BLS number is just the net change in payrolls from the establishment survey.

678K net new jobs isn't unrealistic, as restaurants and bars opened back up a lot of people were able to go back to work. The growth is evenly distributed and that's a good thing, especially the 60K construction jobs is a bright spot.

I call it a good jobs report, but...

We are still 2.1 million jobs below the pre-pandemic level, and the LFPR is still 1.2% below the Feb 2020 rate.

Part time employed for economic reasons increased by 418K, which is going in the wrong direction, and real wages declined over the year.

"Real average hourly earnings decreased 1.7 percent, seasonally adjusted, from January 2021 to January
2022. The change in real average hourly earnings combined with a decrease of 1.4 percent in the
average workweek resulted in a 3.1-percent decrease in real average weekly earnings over this period."

This is why people are feeling the pinch, and why cheering the top line numbers doesn't resonate with people who are just trying to get through another week, or fill up their gas tank without going farther in the hole.

I seems to remember Trump bragging that he created over a million jobs a month. So, it's no more unbelievable than that.

Though, like usual, most of the jobs created are low-pay service jobs that can't be used to feed a family. Both sides forget that when they brag about job creation.

Obviously.

LOL I don't.
Must be an election around the corner... oh wait.

People going back to the jobs they already had, but had to leave because of the Chinese Flu, is not the creation of new jobs....
