Just looked at footage. The Bahamas look like bombs went off all over the islands. The damage is devastating.

What a mess. I'd hate to be the people who have to pick up that mess and of course they may find more dead. Thirty is the last I heard.

The Bahamas gained their independence from Britain in 1973. I was there as a kid shortly after and they all seemed happy about it. Not so sure they are happy now.

It is not like they didn't have a warning.

Regardless, I have sympathy for them and will contribute to aid through my church.
