"Internal e-mails obtained by Denver7 reveal how Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump got stuck in an elevator during his visit to Colorado Springs.

The e-mails also show the fire department spelled out the capacity limits in a memo, days before Trump took a jab at the fire department for keeping some supporters out of his campaign event at the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs (UCCS.)

The TV station requested e-mails between the Colorado Springs Fire Department, UCCS and the Trump campaign and received 214 pages of e-mail, including one from Colorado Springs Fire Marshal Brett Lacey responding to a friend who had reached out to him after Trump’s visit.

“You have likely heard more about the elevator fiasco. Turns out someone (Secret Service or his entourage) had an elevator bypass key.. they (one of them) turned it off between floors and didn’t know how to get it back on.. our folks went and fished them out… elevator guys get there and say what the crap? It takes a real talent to lock yourself in an elevator and you have the key. LOL. BTW, there is no federal regulation against a non-profit interacting with a federal agency even when that agency head owns the non-profit. So bray at will, you have no proof of any quid pro quo, not even a single email from Hillary Clinton, but that won't stop you people from screaming at the top of your lungs. What makes this all funny as hell, is U.S. government ethics law has been watered down by Republicans taking advantage of their own positions in government to profit, so you have less than nothing on this issue.
