Looks like the Dutch don't want their donations to be used for terrorism.

Dutch Lawmakers Unanimously Vote to Cut Funding to PA
By Aryeh Savir July 17, 2014 , 9:26 am

Holland’s Tweede Kamer, its House of Representatives, approved a motion to stop the transfer of money it donates to the Palestinian Authority, which is used for terrorists in Israeli prisons. All 148 members voting of the 150 members of the chamber voted in favor of the motion.

“The parliament asserts that since 2011, the Palestinian Authority transfers money to Palestinian convicts in Israeli prisons [and] that these moneys can have a negative effect, in which criminality and terrorism are rewarded,” read the motion which was submitted by the Christian Union and SGP: Reformed Political Party parties.

The lawmakers intend to review budgets submitted by the PA to determine where the funds are going, in advance of approving the transfer of funds.

Hey Didn't GeorgePhilip say that the propaganda rag Ma'An that he posted from came from Dutch money?
Well there goes that rag.. No more typewriters and crayons for them..

This vote has to be accepted by the other EU members in order to cut off funding to the PA prisoners.

Which ain't gonna happen.......

.

So, Sunni - you got any facts to go with that wishful thinking above?
Possibilities...

1. each member of the EU voluntarily contributes to the PA individually and directly

2. each member of the EU voluntarily contributes to an EU superfund for the PA, which, in turn, disburses monies to the PA

3. some members do it as (1) and some members do it as (2)

4. a contribution to the EU's PA superfund is mandatory for all EU members

The article leads us to believe that it's (1), and, if so, as soon as the Dutch Senate approves the measure, the Dutch faucet to the PA is turned off - a long-overdue measure.

But, if it's (2), then, it's a good bet that each member-state (such as the Netherlands) gets to decide whether it will contribute anything to the PA superfund, and, if that's the case, then, as soon as the Dutch Senate approves the measure, then, the Dutch faucet to the PA superfund is turned off - a long overdue measure.

If it's (3), then, if the Dutch are part of that superfund-pool, see (2), else, see (1).

If it's (4), then, as soon as the Dutch Senate approves the measure, the Dutch will renounce their obligation to contribute to the PA superfund - a little financial revolt - a long-overdue measure.

The only thing that the article mentions about the EU, is that the Dutch wish their government to encourage the rest of the EU to follow suit, making me think that (1) is probably operative.

But... no matter how you slice it... the Dutch are finally showing some backbone, in connection with the mad-dog Palestinians, and any possible backlash, from their own Muslim minority.

Just when we're ready to write-off the EU Folk as a bunch of wussbags and wimps...

No it doesn't as this is nothing to do with the EU. Just the same as say California no longer giving the P.A any aid out of its tax income, has nothing to do with the federal aid to the P.A.

So up to now the U.K. has reduced its aid to Palestine, the E.U. has reduced its aid to Palestine, the USA has reduced its aid to Palestine now the Dutch have reduced theirs making the P.A. even more destitute than previously .:cuckoo:
