Early projections show surprise lead for France's left alliance

Well the Commies are probably descended from the assholes who worked with Stalin to make sure France lost in 1940.

Again, they are not Nazis. Stop saying that.
Well the nazis lost and the good guys won. And they won because more people voted for them.

A great man once said -

Elections have consequences

What is influenced ? Wheres your link ? This sounds likr bog standard american conspiracy crap
You have to educate yourself,.geopolitics.today is rarely spoonfed pablum. Answers arent going to come to you, you need to seek it out (or.stumble upon it). You need to synergize endless bits of information, some overt but not in a headline, some louder and part if a newscast. You piece it all togetner and you come to a conclusion not always easy to express and detail to others. As an example, did you know that China hacked.and stole.the names, details and S.S.N of over 100k U.S navy members? All of these campaigns are designed to find vulnerable citizens to turn, learn of their roles,.their families,.their debts and addictions. They sit quietly until it is time to action this info. This is so much easier.with an open border for example. Far-left wing governments today are the allies of enemy nations because they are least likely to put national security and a countries interests first. There will be a day when Taiwan is attacked, when WWIII begins. Our enemies will be well prepared and they definitely desire the most unpatriotic and weakened leaders/citizens in the nations they attack.

You mean like we know that Putin funds Le pen ? And trump and farage for that matter.

The New Popular Front contains the ACTUAL Communist Party in France, not to mention other Democratic Socialist and Marxist parties.

I'm sure you will find some way to deflect this reality, like you always do.
Deflect what, retard? The French Communist party has never done well in the elections. They are part of the coalition, yes but that hardly means the entire left is Communist.

The coalition came together to fight against the Fascists. It is fun to see you and the other Nazi heartbroken over the French Nazi defeat. LOL

In this current group they are one of a few hard left communist parties, and they are part of the coalition.

RN aren't fascists, but the NPF has actual communists in it.

They got the most votes in the first round of the elections.

And the most votes (as a bloc or party) in the second, however the other two parties agreed to remove their candidates in certain constituencies to make sure the RN didn't get a plurality in the assembly.

It's the way their system works.

Yeah, I tried now to read about that, but gave it up. Too complicated, and I want to spend my time to get through those jungles.

In the second round the RN got even more votes than in the first one (percentage wise). But somehow they came third in distributing of the seats. Seems like a mess to me.

Simply, both of the other two parties met and split various constituencies where they each agreed to remove their candidate from the 3 way run off, thus letting their combined voters vote for the remaining lefty.

France Pulls Back from a Hard-Right Turn as the Left Consolidates

“After the hard-right National Rally surged to the fore in the first round of a risky snap election in France late last month, candidates across a broad leftist spectrum united to defeat the Le Pen dynasty and spare the country from rule by a party that scapegoats immigrants, Jews, Muslims and gays.

A palpable sense of relief swept France and much of Europe as Sunday’s surprising results showed the success of the New Popular Front’s strategy of uniting parties from far left to center. Aiming to avoid splitting the vote against the far right, more than 200 candidates withdrew from races after National Rally won the most seats in the first round late last month and looked headed for a resounding win in Sunday’s finale.

The vote follows a crushing victory over the right last week in Britain, where newly anointed Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s Labour Party put an end to 14 years of chaotic Conservative leadership.”

A defeat for the fascist right is a victory for freedom and liberty.

Unfortunately, the Unites States lacks the political dynamic to successfully organize to defeat fascist conservatives in this country.

Yes, I understand that. Some sort of 'the winner takes all' system, but somehow reversed.

If in England the winner really takes all, when the party with a third of the votes gets an absolute majority. But in France, with the second round and multi-parties tricks, the winner can actually lose.

You have to think of the first election as not existing once the 2nd round kicks off.

England only has one round, and there the torries and the new right didn't cooperate.

Though, to tell the truth, I still can't do that math in my head. If the socialists got the 2nd place of the votes, then why did they get the most seats?

Let's say, there is constituency A where the RN got 52% and the socialists did 48%. The RN got most of the votes, and thus the got one seat.
In constituency B the socialists got 54%, the RN did 44%. The socialists got votes and took a seat.

Shouldn't thenumber of votes and seats correlate with each other in any case when the final result is taken?
