Proof positive that the liberal left will sell out the country to stay politically correct. Rather sad.

Ed Asner Explains Hollywood Silence on Obama, Syria: They 'Don't Want to Feel Anti-Black'

In 2003, ahead of a U.S. attack on Iraq, a robust anti-war movement in Hollywood included a TV commercial starring Martin Sheen and Sean Penn visiting Baghdad. There were online petitions signed by Ed Asner; letters to President George W. Bush pleading for peace were signed by Matt Damon, Tim Robbins, Barbra Streisand and Alec Baldwin; former M*A*S*H star Mike Farrell fronted multiple press conferences where celebrities denounced war. In interviews, Janeane Garofalo stopped identifying herself as an actor -- she preferred to be called a member of the U.S. anti-war movement.

Insanity. Irrational.

But not surprising.

This is what immersing yourself in PC can do to you. It warps your very thought processes.

.

Being black only works in the US. It doesn't work in the rest of the world. That's why obama is returning from Russia with his ass in his hands.

Fear of being called a racist rules politics and Hollywood.

As Ferrwll said, there is a difference between an invasion and bombing the crap out of people. Which is interesting, I guess to the liberals the only people that matter is our people. Obviously they have no problem bombing brown people in another country they just don't want any real skin in the game. Children will die if we bomb Syria that is for sure. If they bomb gas stores the gas will spread and kill civilians.

Funny watching Liberals twist in their own rules when their principals are at conflict. Alinsky is proud and laughing is ass off.

Bunch of fuckin' bedwetters.

One would think that when a person reaches the advanced age of Ed Asner, that person hopefully has developed some brains and decency.

Ed Asner proves the fallacy of that presumption.

Maybe you give the liberals too much credit. I am thinking that their principles are not in conflict.

"Don't want to be seen as anti-black" ...

Just goes to show that Liberals are every bit as cowardly as Conservatives, if not more...

-----

"We're only going to bomb rather than invade"...

Just goes to show that Liberals can disingenuously stoop to juicy bullshit rationalizations just as slavishly as Conservatives...

-----

Continuing to play Follow-the-Leader as Mission Creep evolves the mission from Chemical Weapons neutralization to Regime Crippling (with future-creep towards Regime Change)?

Just goes to show that Liberals can be Hypocrites just like the best (worst) of the Conservatives...

--------------------

Discounting the chronic War-Hawks amongst Conservatives who are always in favor of shooting anything that moves, and with the stereotype in mind that Liberals eschew violence far more often often than others...

This is the Liberal's turn in the barrel...

I have even found myself asking whether - if it were a Liberal White President - a much larger percentage of the Liberal Camp would be standing up against such intervention...

Regardless...

In my personal opinion...

These Liberals backing Obama in this Bullshit Mission due to partisan loyalties or political correctness loyalties are skum...

Each and every one should be required to help crew a bomber flying into Syrian airspace or help guard a ground installation or help crew a warship within reach of Syrian missiles that is likely to be targeted...

Pissants and punks, most of whom would probably shit their pants if somebody actually fired on them...
