I love how she told the interviewer she never gained anything by claiming to be a Native American. My God, she built an entire career on the lie. Elizabeth Warren represents everything folks hate about Politicians.


Sen. Elizabeth Warren batted down calls for her to take a DNA test to prove her Native American heritage in an interview that aired Sunday.

“I know who I am. And never used it for anything. Never got any benefit from it anywhere,” Warren said of her ancestry on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

The Massachusetts Democrat has been under increased pressure to provide evidence of her Native American roots, with President Trump repeatedly mocking her as “Pocahontas” as recently as Saturday.

An editorial this month in Massachusetts’s Berkshire Eagle urged Warren to buy a DNA test for $99 to resolve the issue once and for all.

“All the senator needs to do is spit into a tube, wait a few weeks and get her answer,” the paper said.

Asked whether she’d take an ancestry test, Warren said she wants to hold onto the folklore of her parents’ love story...

Pocahontas did far more than "believe" her grandmother. Assuming she actually said that. Her cousins said they had never heard that.

She actually put it down on job applications and she continued to do that after questions were clearly raised to her whether that story was true or not.

I've had two stories that were passed down through family lore that we've disproven because of modern DNA. Both stories were created to deflect from things that were a big deal in the past, but would not be such an issue today. Once the first question arose regarding the authenticity of the stories, I stopped telling them.

“I’m not running for president,” Warren, a champion of the Democratic Party’s progressive wing, told “Fox News Sunday.”

When asked Sunday whether she’d agree to calls for genetic testing to resolve the heritage controversy, Warren launched into a family history, as purportedly told by her parents and grandparents, before saying, “It’s a part of who I am, and no one’s ever going to take that away.”

Warren, who is seeking a second Senate term this year, has been accused of saying she is of Native American heritage to help in securing jobs, including one as a Harvard law professor.
