I don't blame him on this one, much. If I am going somewhere to conduct business or work, I am probably not actually shopping for a weapon. If I am going somewhere to shop for a weapon, I undoubtedly know what I am looking for, and not likely to be sold something by a clerk at a guns store. It does not surprise me, he didn't buy. If buying, I would more likely than not get one in my home state or have it shipped to a dealer in my town. I cannot see Donny taking up shooting sports now, at his age, if he hasn't already. With Secret Service protection, he doesn't need one, and if new to shooting, it would probably scare the hell out of the Secret Service, as people screw up an shoot themselves by accident, probably daily.
