Insanity starts in the EU. Then we catch it. There is nothing wrong with ecigarettes. It is a very healthy alternative to smoking. But, what the fanatics don't like is smoking behavior and that's what they want to ban. Whether it's cigarettes, ecigarettes or an empty soda straw.

They want to ban smoking in all its forms, except for marijuana.

For the EU to treat e-cigarettes as tobacco products muddies the waters and causes confusion. It would be far better to treat them on a par with nicotine replacement products which are available over the counter through pharmacies and newsagent

Agreed. They are, in fact, an alternative delivery system- like the patch. They are not tobacco leaves. That's kinda the point.
