Everyone should be told about this.

Well, which attitude is actually racist -- A) judging all students by the same measure or B) thinking that blacks are really stupid, so need to be judged according to a much lower standard.

Hint to those who aren't very good at these sorts of things -- the correct answer is the same as the first letter in "black"

Oh, who am I kidding. Even with the hint, some just won't get it.

No, not necessarily true. Socially responsible action could be warranted to counter America's huge racism problem.

Your extremism has caused you to not be able to even think of anything other than your racism and hating. I don't want any part of your emotional babble from now on. You've been given enough chances to improve your behaviour and that does no good.
once again elect a black Prime Minister before you call America racist canuck .

This must be the Left’s answer to Affirmative Action, in which black students with substantially lower GPAs get admitted over whites with higher GPAs. What to do? i know. Let’s just give black kids higher grades in grade school that they don’t really earn, and then the difference is erased!

It tells me and the rest of the world that America's racism needs special considerations and special action to counter the system that's slanted in favour of white supremacy..
How many black elected leaders are in Canada, duck? How many black PM's in Canada's history? STFU, Canada is WAY more racist than the US, you hypocritical POS.

Donald, that was a good idea. Since people want to talk...

First, understand that whites are a race. That means we have been educated with a white centered strategy. The source of the article is a right wing website. This is about professional development for teachers in order to improve teaching and learning.

Now let's face what's actually going on.

Fact Check: Chicago High School Will NOT Use Race-Based Grading System During 2022-23 School Year

The claim was based on a portion of a regular meeting held by the school's board of education on May 26, 2022. However, the school, abbreviated as OPRFHS, refuted the claim in a statement (archived here) posted to its website on May 31, 2022:

As part of the Board of Education's strategic plan, the OPRFHS Grading and Assessment Committee was formed to examine national research on objective, unbiased practices for determining whether students have mastered academic content. At the Board of Education's May 26 meeting, the administration's representative to the OPRFHS Grading and Assessment Committee provided an initial report that included a progress update on the committee's examination of grading practices.
At no time were any statements made recommending that OPRF implement a race-based grading approach.
Prior to implementing grading changes, if any, recommendations will be made to the Board at a public meeting. Again, contrary to the title of the article, the district has not implemented, and has no intention of implementing, any grading and assessment policy based on race.

The agenda from the May 26, 2022, meeting supports the school's rejection of the claim. During the discussion section of the meeting, Laurie Fiorenza, the assistant superintendent for student learning at the school, was on the agenda to discuss the findings of the school's Transformative Education Leadership Team. The slideshow for the presentation of the discussion was titled "Strategic Plan Priority 2: Transformative Education Professional Development & Grading"

There was no mention of race-based grading policies at the school in the summary, and the only mention of grading policies taking place at the school is as follows:

Many OPRFHS teachers are successfully exploring and implementing more equitable grading practices such as: utilizing aspects of competency-based grading, eliminating zeros from the grade book, and encouraging and rewarding growth over time.

I guess you missed the part about missed assignments and zeroes being removed. If they don't do the work, they get zero. That is on the student and has nothing to do with social factors or race. Nothing they notated had anything to do with race except for the fact that blacks and hispanics did not perform to the level of the whites when SAT failures were considered.
SAT is not a pass/fail test.

Good. But the sad part is that someone was retarded enough to think it was a good idea in the first place. Someone in the school system. 🙄

"Equitable?

They have the same books, the same teacher, and the same amount of time to study.

The grades should be based SOLEY on knowing the material and to what degree."

What do you think?

To me it sounds like if a white male student says 2 + 2 = 5 his answer will be wrong but if a minority (except Asian) gives the same answer they will be right.

This topic is in need of a balanced article that doesn't purposely slant the intent of the proposed changes.

It sounds like it's stooping toward more racism in America, when it could be very well thought out action being taken to make the system more equitable.

Unfortunately, racism runs rampant on this board and there's little possibility of having an honest discussion.

Or is there?
No, most of the people on this forum are racist, including its owners. The only purpose of little fringe forums like this, is to give white nationalists a safe space , and silence woke dissent.

Many on this forum have happily confirmed that they are racists but some have not. There's noting to gain by condemning others without any evidence.

There's no need for that now in America when not hiding racist feelings is the rule.

You couldn't be more wrong, but you couldn't be more incapable of understanding why.

I think you're mistaking the words in bold as mine when they were quoted from another poster.
