• Many other politicians were also allegedly threatened by the man, Provo resident Craig Deleeuw Robertson.
• Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg Jr. is prosecuting Trump for falsifying business records related to a 2016 payment to porn star Stormy Daniels.

The FBI shot and killed a Utah man on Wednesday while trying to arrest him for making violent threats against President Joe Biden and the New York district attorney who is prosecuting former President Donald Trump in connection with hush money payments, NBC News reported.
Many other politicians were also allegedly threatened by the man, Provo resident Craig Deleeuw Robertson.

Court documents say the FBI described Robertson as a white man “approximately 70-75 years old” who was surveilled “wearing a dark suit (later observed as having an AR-15 style rifle lapel pin attached), a white shirt, a red tie, and a multi-colored (possibly camouflage) hat bearing the word “TRUMP” on the front.”
Robertson was fatally shot by at least one FBI agent at 6:15 a.m. in Provo, about 12 hours before Biden was due to visit the state in Salt Lake City No agents were injured.
“The incident began when special agents attempted to serve arrest and search warrants at a residence.
the FBI said in a statement. “The subject is deceased.”
The shooting is under review by the FBI’s Inspection Division.
A senior administration official told NBC News that Biden was briefed on the FBI raid this morning, ahead of scheduled events in New Mexico.

Former President Donald Trump and his supporters have sought to portray the woman who was shot by a police officer during the Jan. 6 Capitol riot as a righteous martyr who was unjustly killed. But the life of the 35-year-old Air Force veteran from California, Ashli Babbitt, was far more complicated.

According to a document filed when he was charged, prosecutors said he could also be heard chanting with the crowd, "Break it down," in reference to the door to the Speaker's Lobby where Babbitt was later shot. In one of the four videos he posted on Facebook, prosecutors said, a gunshot can be heard.

In pleading guilty, Bennett acknowledged that he wore a hat with the letters "FAFO," an abbreviation of a slogan popular among the Proud Boys, a far-right group. Prosecutors said he traveled alone to the D.C. rally, and the FBI did not find evidence that he was a member or associate of any Proud Boys chapter, although they said he had attempted to contact a Maryland Proud Boys chapter to ask about becoming a member.

He also acknowledged that on January 4 he posted on Facebook, "You better be ready chaos is coming and I will be in DC on 1/6/2021 fighting for my freedom!"

According to the charging documents, prosecutors said Bennett posted "conspiracy theorist" material on his Facebook account prior to the events of January 6, including references to "#STOPTHESTEAL."
