SpaceShipOne safely soared towards space and back on Wednesday, and is reported unofficially to have reached it 100 kilometre (328,000) altitude target. If so, it leaves its team with just one more flight to go to win the $10 million Ansari X Prize for pioneering commercial human spaceflight.

When this company goes public, I am buying as many shares as I can. This will be a blockbuster money-maker for all involved. I would so love to take a trip on SpaceShipOne!

I saw the flight and they better work out some bugs before they get me on that thing. Hell, it was spinning out of control for awhile. Kudos to the team though--quite a feat !

These guys rock. Now that the government has done all the extremely difficult work (technology and the like) it's time for the public to take control of space exploration and exploitation. Count me in as a huge supporter of this race.

As don king would say, Only in America. Other coutnries are struggling to get a govenrment funded space program to break the earth's atmosphere (China comes to mind). Yet we have civilians with their own money funding space flights.

Only in America.

Actually ive heard that NASA has privatized alot of Space program years ago.
