FL Lt. Gov. (R) resigns; gambling scandal.

So, it's not government's place to pass laws against prostitution, gambling, and drugs?

That's correct.

Ask yourself, why would it be the government's right to pass those laws? Under what authority can the government pass such laws?

They can pass laws that demand Prostitutes be tested for disease very frequently and that men wishing to have sex with prostitutes must show a very recent disease test, provided its not prohibitively expensive.

They can pass a law to force gamblers to Reveal they have the money/currency/commodity they are betting before the event they are betting on takes place or hindering them

They can pass a law forcing companies/providers to provide a disclaimer for all their drugs.

But under no circumstance, can they directly prohibit such practices by law, or indirectly abolish such practices by directly/indirectly taxing them to destruction.
