Florida Sheriffs nullify federal gun laws

The existence of the 2nd amendment, not just as a Federal law (repealable by a few elected Federal officials) but as a part of the U.S. Constitution (repealable only by a LARGE majority of states, as far from the Federal govt as possible), establishes in the most basic way, that this is a government by the people.

It is a fundamental part of this nation that 300 million Americans will always be more heavily armed than 1 million members of the Armed Forces... only a fraction of whom fight and put themselves in harm's way, while the rest sit in chairs and shuffle papers.

And the people who founded the United States made sure that, in any basic and visceral conflict between the people and the government, the people would ALWAYS win.

Unsurprisingly, the Democrats have resisted that idea for most of our living memory. It goes directly against their government-uber-alles agenda.

Well, take heart! Since states don't have to obey the laws, his ass will soon be up on the block for sale. Not that anyone would buy the lazy bastard.

What I do is present the truths, which you reject.

You claimed that the Courts are the final arbiter. You have yet to produce a way in which an executive may imprison an acquitted man, or how a JUDGE can overturn an acquittal, or how a legislative body can pass a Bill of Attainder to usurp a Jury's decision.

You have to show us which provision of the Constitution binds a Jury's decision to PRECEDENT.

So long as the People, via the Jury, have the final say in destroying their Peers, they are the Sovereigns, and the final arbiter is which laws are constitutional, and which ones are not.

Sure you do. Like this:

And after much public flap yapping, these sheriffs will stand up, say, 'Ya suh, no suh' and salute when the first US Marshal visits them. Stupid rednecks working for the votes of other stupid rednecks.

Your hatred for white people is duly noted.
They can be easy to hate.

Do you actually believe people pay any attention to your hatred and BS?

10th Amendment in action.
Good luck with that, you'll need it.

First two posts in the thread, and neither of them can comprehend English.

Amazing.

You’re truly and ignorant putz.

WHEREAS, Florida Sheriffs have continually supported the rights guaranteed under the Constitution of the United States, including the right to bear arms, and Florida Sheriffs affirm they will not assist, support, or condone any unconstitutional infringement of that right…

Given the fact that the courts determine what is or is not Constitutional, Florida sheriffs will enforce any law ruled to be Constitutional, regardless their personal, subjective, and ignorant opinion (Cooper v. Aaron (1958)).

And Florida sheriffs will continue to obey Federal law, where failing to do so they will be in violation of the law and the Federal Constitution, and will be subject to punitive measures accordingly – having nothing to do with the ‘10th Amendment.’

An interesting take but tell me, what jury decided Roe v Wade, or Bush v Gore, or Brown v Board of Ed.? Was that a"jury" of nine by chance?

No, they are throwing support toward the 2nd Amendment, and the SCOTUS has already affirmed the 2nd. Do you think the Court has the last say-so in the matter? Seriously? They DO NOT.

TRANSLATION: I can't answer what you've said, so I'll ignore it and change the subject.

TRANSLATION: His position is incorrect. The People do not have the ultimate power, as I just showed. They could of course kill off the current government and start a new country but that is a different story.

Tell me something, oh he of the ability to know everything, what is your problem with their statement? Did they say they were going to ignore any laws, or did they say that they are going on record as not being against the right of everyone as defined by the Constitution of the United States? Do you actually prefer the people that you elect to proclaim that, despite the fact that the Constitution actually says you have a right to bear arms, be silent, speak out when the mood strikes you, and not be searched without a warrant, that just makes it to hard for them to be able to do there job and still get their donut quota so they are going to declare that those rights only exist when it is convenient for them?

The 10th does not nor has it ever authorized nullification. Nor do county sheriffs have the constitutional authority to decide the constitutionality of federal laws.

You would have appeared infinitely more intelligent if you had actually read the OP before you spouted off.

Well, our Attorney General DID tell states not to obey laws they consider to be unconstitutional. Just sayin'. States rights to the fore!

That's different, it just is.

You insolent bastard.
He tries to intimidate...but that is nothing but arrogance on his part.
What I do is present the truths, which you reject.

You should have presented the truth that the Florida Sheriffs never said they were going to ignore federal, or even state, gun control laws. All they actually did was reaffirm that the Constitution actually grants people the right to keep and bear arms, and that they don't have a problem with it.
