Drug companies made it happen. Now the Trump administration is patting themselves on the back for the success of Warp Speed and Pfizer's success. There was only one problem with the adulation: a top scientist for Pfizer had told the New York Times that her company had not partnered with the Trump administration’s program. The money for developing the vaccine came from Germany, not the Trump administration.

The Trump Admistraion has paid 1.6 billion to Novavax vaccine for vaccine development. It's effectiveness has not been released.

So is Pfizer part of Operation Warp Speed or not? Yes and no.
