I believe that the genesis of the dominion suit came when a crazy woman wrote to Sidney. This woman "spoke to the wind" and believed that ghosts were talking to her.
Sydney took it to Fox and they ran with it. They were all in on it. They knew it was bollox. But ran with it because the audience loved it.
They got off with it in my opinion. I know that they were fined but they got away with it.

Fox deliberately lied. Proven in court. This isnt a "they all do it" issue.

Why is it strange ? Fox slandered Dominion without any proof. Dominion had to defend their business. Any company would do the same.
