Antonio Gramsci (1891-1937), a Marxist intellectual ...sought the destruction of society as the precondition for the eventual victory of global Marxism. Gramschi’s motto is that of liberals today: “that all life is "political." John Fonte -- Why There Is A Culture War: Gramsci and Tocqueville in America

Even things that seem not to be political.....are.

1. The single greatest thread to the modern world is the Middle East. Bernard Lewis explains events that have led to this point:

a. The first of these—founded by a theologian called Ibn Abd al-Wahhab, who lived in a remote area of Najd in desert Arabia—is known as Wahhabi. Its argument is that the root of Arab-Islamic troubles lies in following the ways of the infidel. The Islamic world, it holds, has abandoned the true faith that God gave it through His prophet and His holy book, and the remedy is a return to pure, original Islam...In the mid-1920s the local tribal chiefs of the House of Saud—who had been converted since the 18th century to the Wahhabi version of Islam—conquered the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.

b. The other important thing that happened—also in the mid-20s—was the discovery of oil. With that, this extremist sect found itself not only in possession of Mecca and Medina, but also of wealth beyond the dreams of avarice. As a result, what would otherwise have been a lunatic fringe in a marginal country became a major force in the world of Islam. ...The problem is that these are now overwhelmingly funded and therefore controlled by the Wahhabis, and the version of Islam that they teach is the Wahhabi version, which has thus become a major force in Muslim immigrant communities. https://www.hillsdale.edu/news/imprimis/archive/issue.asp?year=2006&month=09

2. For the first time in modern memory it is possible to gain control of the above....and it is not through bogus "environmentalism," "green energy," or driving less. Here, from a Saudi prince, is the answer:
" Saudi Billionaire Prince: Fracking Competitively Threatens ‘Any Oil Producing Country in the World’

3. (CNSNews.com) – Saudi Arabia’s Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, a billionaire businessman and nephew of Saudi King Abdullah, said the production of shale oil and natural gas in the United States and other countries, primarily done through fracking, is a real competitive threat to “any oil-producing country in the world,” adding that Saudi Arabia must address the issue because it is a “matter of survival.”

4. Ninety-two percent of Saudi Arabia’s annual budget comes from oil.... focus on the danger of this matter in the ‘not-so-distant future,’ especially that America and some Asian countries made big discoveries in shale gas extraction which will affect the oil industry around the world in general and Saudi Arabia in particular.” ... North American shale gas production is an inevitable threat.”

5. According to data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), fracking (and horizontal drilling) has resulted in the United States becoming (in 2010) the world’s largest natural gas producer. Also, in October 2013, domestic oil production surpassed the amount of oil imported into the United States for the first time since 1995. .... natural gas developed through the use of hydraulic fracturing will rise to more than 75% of the domestic supply by 2035.”
Saudi Billionaire Prince: Fracking Competitively Threatens ?Any Oil Producing Country in the World? | CNS News

6. Any politician who in support of the security of America, as well as a robust economy, must see that bowing to the neo-Marxist environmentalists is a detriment to our nation....

a. " A coalition of state-based environmental groups are calling for a nationwide ban on hydraulic fracturing, or fracking. The proposed fracking ban is based on claims that the drilling practice imperils public health — based on exaggerated claims, according to critics.
Environmentalists call for national ban on fracking | The Daily Caller

b. " Hoping to do my part to stop the dishonest and toxic gas industry from ravaging our beautiful state, ... took up the public health battle cry, "Not One Well!" .... by permitting just a few wells in an attempt at satisfy everyone, Gov. Cuomo might just be opening the lid on a Pandora's box nightmare. .... If instead Gov. Cuomo chooses the path backwards to open up New York state for hydrofracking and in turn rubber stamping a path to increased fossil fuel consumption and heating of our planet, then we will respond with non-violent acts of civil disobedience, and will commence on a full throated campaign of resistance to run alongside his reelection campaign in 2014." Mark Ruffalo: Governor Cuomo: Not One Well!

c. " Mr. Cuomo said he understood that fracking could bring jobs to economically depressed regions, especially the Southern Tier area along the state’s border with Pennsylvania; that region is atop the Marcellus Shale, a rich deposit of trapped gas. But the governor has also faced strong opposition from environmentalists and others worried about the impact of fracking on watersheds and aquifers." http://www.nytimes.com/2013/12/17/n...ont-press-for-health-studys-release.html?_r=0

So....not troops in the Middle East.....simply respond by cutting off the funding by the Saudis..... 15 of the 19 9/11 terrorists were citizens of Saudi Arabia...but by considering fracking as a military weapon.

Regarding the Middle East, the most important event influencing modern difficulties was a restructuring of national borders in the first half of the 20th century. You (and/or the propagandist you cited) must have forgotten about that tidbit.

Also, thanks for citing Antonio Gramsci, because all of us leftist liberals read everything he wrote and believe it religiously.

Nope. Don't know, don't care.

 Why aren't the libs happy? No more "war for oil" hopefully Obama and his leftist cohorts wont attempt to limit fracking.

The United States will overtake Saudi Arabia to become the world's biggest oil producer before 2020, and will be energy independent 10 years later
according to a new forecast by the International Energy Agency.

How very honest of you.

The importance of knowing the stature of Professor Lewis is that it reminds those who do of the insignificance of your opinions.

2013 In Review: Obama Talks Climate Change? But Pushes Fracking | Mother Jones

Barack Obama elevated climate change to one of his top presidential priorities. White House and other officials brought up the topic in public after spending the previous four years scuttling away from any mention of climate change. Climate change became a factor in state elections and there were polls suggesting even Republicans in the most conservative states wanted to take measures to avoid a future of dangerous climate change.

But it was also a year when Obama claimed as a personal achievement the expansion of oil and gas production through hydraulic fracturing, and when the coal industry sent coal overseas to rescue the mines closing down at home.

Yup...he considers fracking and natural gas as alternative energy.

But....his plan will tax at about $96,000 per well.

"Obama claimed" it should say in spite of Obama. Obama claims a lot of things and lots of liberal Republicans RINOs fall for that man made global warming crap. Doesn't really mean much. "dangerous climate change"..That's funny, the sun and the clouds are very dangerous:lol: We send coal to China so they can burn it in their power plants while we shut down our own:cuckoo:

Since fracking is regulated on a state-by-state basis still, do tell.

Wouldn't Obama like to change that with his EPA. States as you said regulate it now, but Obama claims credit..imagine that:confused:

As you can see from the OP, our governor, Democrat Cuomo, architect of the mortgage meltdown, is hesitant to authorize fracking.

He wants to be President...heaven forfend.....and needs the wacko neo-Marxist environmentalists in his camp.

And speaking of the neo-Marxist environmentalists, even though they pretend that fracking poisons water systems.....the real reason is that they want to weaken the nation.

1. " The Obama administration has not been able to link groundwater contamination to fracking. The Environmental Protection Agency has failed to link fracking to groundwater contamination in three separate studies and, earlier this year, the Energy Department also found that fracking is safe when done properly.
“To my knowledge, I still have not seen any evidence of fracking per se contaminating groundwater,” Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz said in August.
Dozens of state regulators have also found no evidence of groundwater contamination from fracking operations.
Environmentalists call for national ban on fracking | The Daily Caller

2. PITTSBURGH A landmark federal study on hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, shows no evidence that chemicals from the natural gas drilling process moved up to contaminate drinking water aquifers at a western Pennsylvania drilling site, the Department of Energy told The Associated Press.
After a year of monitoring, the researchers found that the chemical-laced fluids used to free gas trapped deep below the surface stayed thousands of feet below the shallower areas that supply drinking water, geologist Richard Hammack said." Study finds fracking chemicals didn't pollute water: AP - CBS News

Good that some states will ban fracking.

Other states should restrict use of the products of fracking to within the state in which the resource is recovered or in other states which permit the use of fracking.

That way the people who thought they were going to benefit from the work and inconvenience others get to suck hind tit. Be fun to see if they get any heating fuel from it.

Since fracking is regulated on a state-by-state basis still, do tell.

For now, anyway.

Should Fracking Be Regulated by the Feds or the States? - WSJ.com

In Illinois' case, it is the environmentalists who ultimately will regulate it.

Existing Rules, known as the Oil and Gas Act and in force for decades, already contained adequate language for dealing with the process. But that wasn't good enough. The big-roller environmental groups descended on Springfield and proceeded to strong-arm the legislature into crafting their version of rules.

The result is an onerous and duplicative piece of legislation that threatens to enact a de-facto ban on the practice. Layers of bureaucracy, hefty fees, and redundant regulations appear to be driving the players away. After spending tens of millions of dollars acquiring drilling rights, they are ready to say "fuck it" and leave.

Less than 40% of oil is imported now, lowest since 1990.
How come the 60% that we drill here still costs so much?
Called supply and demand on a GLOBAL market.
Something Republicans should and do understand.
We could drill 100% of our oil in country and it would have little IF ANY effect on the price.
Only a dumbass would sell their oil for LESS than what the GLOBAL market demand price for it is.

Opposition to more fossil fuel with fracking and drilling here just proves liberals are lying sacks of shit when they claim they just want to quit buying foreign oil.

The reality is they don't like fossil fuel used by....other people, but it's ok for them.

They will drive their car, ride in a plane, etc....but you need to walk, ride a bike or public transportation.

Where are the "scientific" Liberals here? High volume high pressure horizontal hydraulic fracturing is a very scientific and highly engineering-intensive process.

Is this the only science that Liberals deny? What is it that they refuse to acknowledge?

If Liberals have the "science" market cornered, then why do they come up totally dumb-fucked when it comes to fracturing?

Liberals... the true "deniers".

THIS is the shit that reveals your true colors. Ignorant and pathetic morons.

Yep and they're clueless on what's involved. They don't even understand casing over aquifers.
