Baltimore FOP Head: 'Justice Has Been Done'
July 27, 2016 - With charges dropped for the three remaining officers in the Freddie Gray case, Baltimore FOP President Gene Ryan says justice has been done.
Representatives for the six officers who had been charged in the Freddie Gray case defended their clients and criticized State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby during a press conference Wednesday afternoon. "Justice has been done," said Gene Ryan, president of FOP Lodge 3, which represents city police officers. Ryan said Mosby's comments earlier in the day were "outrageous and uncalled for and simply untrue." Attorney Ivan Bates, who represents Sgt. Alicia White, spoke on behalf of all of the officers and their attorneys. He criticized Mosby for not conducting a thorough, independent investigation of Gray's arrest and death.

Bates said Mosby's office declined assistance that was offered by the Maryland State Police and the FBI. Bates said a "nightmare" began for the six officers when they were charged on May 1, 2015. He contended that Gray ran from police when they encountered him, because he and his friends planned to "re-up" to sell drugs that day. He said officers were justified in pursuing Gray. "Everybody wanted to find out what happened to Freddie Gray," Bates said.

When asked what he thought had happened to Gray, Bates said that Gray fell and was injured between stops five and six. He also alleged that once an ambulance was called, it was slow to arrive at the scene. All six officers were present at the press conference at the FOP lodge in Hampden, but they did not speak. They are still subject to internal investigations. Ryan said the officers hope to return to duty. Four are working for the police department and the other two hope to, Ryan said.

Not surprised that was a prosecution screw up of epic proportions kind of interesting they did that right in the middle of the Democratic convention when it will likely get little or no news coverage.

The cop who chased him for running and crushed his neck with his knee should be in prison.

It is not illegal to run.

I googled how much money of the "mothers" made from the civil settlements for the deaths of their criminal sons. I guess the press hasn't added it up. Sorta like the national debt. Too embarrassing.

That stupid Prosecutor is being bitch-slapped into the middle of next week by the media... Apparently there may be investigations into prosecutorial misconduct... Her shit may be in the wind... After they get through with her hell she may not be able to get a job at the CVS if they rebuilt after the fire...

Yes it is.
No it isn't. If it's illegal to run then why don't the police bust track meets and football games?
It's illegal to run from the police. A felony, in fact.

A man was killed by the cops. That is a crime. Killing him may have not been intentional but the man still died. Police and the city cannot continue to be faultless when someone in their custody dies.
So ,in Dallas, when the cops killed the scumbag who killed the cops...that was a crime? You're a dope.

And of course you idiotically lying your ass off. Why are you lying to the forum?

If you need to lie in order to justify your position, then it would be wise to change your position rather that change the facts. Changing the facts simply makes you look like an idiot.

That scumbag committed murder and was armed and dangerous. Freddie Grey was not armed and did not commit a crime. Only the stupidest people on Earth would think that the cases are comparable.

I hope somebody gets revenge on that scumbag pig.
