The Coming Republican Civil War

The last two Republican Party presidential candidates—John McCain in 2008 and Mitt Romney last year—have something in common. Neither one could ever qualify as a true life-long conservative. And a lot of self-described “real conservatives” want Republicans to keep that in mind as they begin to mull the field of White House contenders for 2016.

Conservative activists no doubt see the 2016 battle for the Republican presidential nomination as their best chance, perhaps since Ronald Reagan won in 1980, to put forward a real conservative candidate.

Beyond the sing song generalities of 'smaller government, lower taxes, less regulation' Republicans can't agree on what day it is ....

But let's not disturb them ...

:)

The conservative school of thought on the two recent elections is that Republicans lost because neither McCain nor Romney was conservative enough to rally the base, both times resulting in victories for Barack Obama. They promise things will be different in 2016.

But a power struggle within the party looms as the 2016 presidential race draws closer. Libertarians, Tea Party activists, social conservatives and mainstream Republicans are all looking for a winner in three years

you are just as obsessed with these jerks as Dean and your brother Dudley is....Obsession is a mental disorder....

Republicans shouldn't take seriously any advice Democrats give them ... because it likely is meant to undermine the poor souls ....

You are obsessed with your phony scandals, we are obsessed with your civil war.

Political obsessions are sometimes cured at election time !

Huh!? The libs said a few days ago that the repubs need more mccains, romneys, grahams, and so on.

Conservatives are driving most of them away. All that will be left are "true conservatives", which will be enough to win nothing. The inability of the far right to compromise on anything is leading to the death of the Republican Party. We may not see the final results of this for a while, but within the next twenty years, the Republican Party is going to be licking its wounds quite a bit.

if the NSA scandal is phoney, then Snowden didn't expose any secret government programs. So why is the US government trying to extradite and arrest him for exposing government secrets that according to you don't exist?

There is no civil war. We have RINO issues and I suspect they're plants by the democrat party.

Either way, these degenerates need to be removed from the platform.

Rubio, McCain, Christie. All RINOs and they need to be booted from the GOP. They are essentially liberal republicans and liberalism is degenerate and sub-human.

Of course they are only phony scandals because your boy is the recepient.

If it were Bush as POTUS you'd be singing one different tune.

Drivebydumbass suites you to a tee. Your an idiot.

for crying out loud, they have compromised, Obama got his judges, his wealth tax and few other other things...this BS they haven't compromised..

why the hell would they compromise on all of Obama's radical visions? If he had his way he would spend into oblivion with his habit for wanting to SPEND our money..
He already took almost a trillion dollars from us and we have NO IDEA where that money went and we didn't see all these "shovel ready jobs" or bring down Unemployment below 7% LIKE HE PROMISED it would... The Democrats didn't compromise with Bush but a few times, but I guess that DIFFERENT

After cutting taxes and realizing he cut them too much, Reagan raised them a little. He also raised several fees. He also worked closely with his biggest political rival in Congress for welfare and tax reform.

Such a person would be excoriated and ejected by the maniacs ruining the party today.

you Democrat cult members need to open your eyes...

Republicans can't be the party of "white" forever. Look at what they've done to the Southern States. What a mess.
