What scientific basis is being displayed when a drug addict joins a Christian support group and by faith, he or she overcomes their addiction? What about Alcoholic's Anonymous? I have seen many addicts and alcoholics cured of their disease on the basis of faith alone.

You have to want to be cured. If you don't really want it, no amount of behavior modification or conversion therapy is going to work.

Socialism is pseudo economic mumbo jumbo, and it still has support from the vast left-wing. It doesn't surprise me that uninformed people, believe bonkers things. It's like believing your are a woman, when you are a men. The left-wing has and is, pushing that unscientific crap now for years.

As for conversion therapy, it depends on what you mean by that. People who find religious values, often stop being gay. But it's a choice of the person through adoption of a new belief and life style.

That's not really 'conversion therapy', as simply people making the choice to change.

On the other hand, if you mean this strange idea of shocking people with electrodes and some of the other strange 'therapy' beliefs, yeah I agree those don't work.
