We all know this shit is simply to intimidate ANYONE that wants to help Trump on his 2020 campaign, and to make those subpoenaed pay through the nose with lawyer fees and 7 to 11 hours of useless questions......

President Donald Trump on Tuesday appeared to suggest that the White House may refuse to comply with a slew of requests for documents sent this week by House Judiciary Committee chairman Jerry Nadler, N.Y.

Speaking at a White House event, Trump cited what he said was the Obama administration's approach to handling document requests related to Congressional investigations: "They didn't give one letter. They didn't do anything. They didn't give one letter of the requests," Trump said.

Trump's comment came one day after the president sounded a much more conciliatory note, telling reporters on Monday that he "cooperates with everybody."

This is breaking news. Please check back for updates.

Executive PRIVILEGE...... ROTFLMFAO....wait until the committee is seated and then SPRING IT ON THEM......BOOOOOOOM!!!!

These are government documents and Congress has every right to them and to release them publicly. The courts will force Trump to release this information.

What the fuck are you smoking?

The documents requested fall under executive privilege and private/non-governmental exempt, just like Trumps tax returns..

Not unexpected, the subpoenas are ready for launch.
And all without probable cause... When they hit the courts they will be thrown out.. Good luck with this..
There's plenty of probable cause but it's not necessary, congress has broad powers of oversight on the executive branch. Checks on executive power is part of their long neglected duty to the American people.

Why are you people pretending the Mueller investigation is over and nothing was found?

Mueller is still working with all the information he got from Cohen and Stone. No, the investigation isn't over yet. And, the reason that there haven't been any leaks is because Mueller is much more disciplined than anyone in the Trump admin.

Wrong....ever heard of executive privilege? it saved Obama from being charged with treason (so far).

Q. Do you have any idea which documents have been requested?

A. Of course not, so you can't evaluate probable cause.

The is not Mueller's first rodeo, your hope that he makes a misstep is nothing more than a wish and a dream.

What did he find?

Just read Chaffetz' book "The Deep State", and he whines all the time that congress has no enforcement capability. Holder told Congress to piss off regarding "Fast and Furious" and congress held him in "contempt"?! Is that bad? He doesn't seem to mind?!

Congress has no authority to go poking into the private affairs of American citizens who are not accused of any crimes.

Holder showed that anyone who wants to can give Congress the middle finger salute.
