I think he (Frances Junior) makes a very good point, in that for Evangelicals, this is a theological point, and they will not be swayed. So there will be no debate, no rationalization, no - nothing. They can't hear us on the DJT front any more than they can on the death and resurrection front.

Good point. I thought I was pretty strong on it being about the white evangelical base, 78% wholehearted support. I never thought of it as being theological (and maybe someone will tell me it isn't?) I would really love that.

Did you watch the video? He made a lot of very good, valid points. And I would love some evangelicals to rebut him.

It's both religion and politics; evangelicals have been blending the two for decades.

Trump cheating on his wife is pretty much the very tip of the iceberg. He has done a lot of damage, and he has attempted to do even more damage. If we take adultery off the table, he remains a shit human being and a horrible leader. The same could not be said of JFK.

In other words. If he were not trying to destroy the government from the inside, and if he actually did some good for this country, and if he stopped trying to destroy the planet, I would not give a shit who he has slept with. But he is a thug, a grifter, a thief . He’d have to go up like four steps before he could be a Tony Soprano. His cabinet is corrupt. He has alienated our closest allies.

He is an international embarrassment.
