Syria would profit from more trade and economic cooperation but it is already a prosperous country that has permanently reduced its national debt since the early 90's and that is especially well known for its pharmaceutical industry. Your comparsion is flawed. Syria is also a proud nation and does not want others to build its economy. And remember that Syria's economy is socialistic shaped. As for the IS, the SAA is its hardest enemy and cannot be defeated by the terrorists.
