you forgot to mention the guy who shot the airport guy was trained security officer,not just some guy with a gun.....That doesn't refute my post one iota. So what if one incident that you describe went bad ? In lots of others, a good guy (or a few of them) with a gun, would have saved many lives (ex. Fort Hood, Pulse Club, San Bernardino, Paris concert, etc)yea so what.....doesnt mean shit.....there was a guy out here a few years ago who was carrying,former military,off duty cop....he was shot and killed during a robbery in a 7/11 he happened to be in.....turns out the robber was also ex military marine with combat experience.....lots of bad guys know how to use guns too.....
In many incidents, a good guy with a gun DID save lives.
One example - the LAX shooting (July 4, 2002) Ahmed Mohammed Hadayet was shot dead, after he killed 2 people. The airport was crowded with people, and Hadayet had 2 pistols and 200 rounds of ammunition. Without the armed, good guy, it would have been a bloodbath.
