I know a lot of stuff......and I do mean a lot of stuff. I can agree with some on some things and disagree with them on others because I am well read and this is my passion. I spend 10 to 12 hours a day researching and listening to lectures and documentaries while vetting the information and attacking it from every angle. I know the score and I know how we have been used...how our labor has been exploited and abused and I am beyond pissed.

This is my life...for better or for worse. I was much happier when I was ignorant but you can't make yourself "unlearn" things. The quest for the truth totally consumes me and it has put a burden on my heart for my people that I could never adequately explain. I make a decent living but I don't have shit to show for it because I don't want anything this world can afford me. I find people in need and give away any access that I have. Do you know what it is like to come up on a person in line at the grocery store and have God tell you that this person needs a helping hand and have the means to slide your debit card, have the funds and pay for it? Knowing that you had it to give was a blessing and it was used to help someone that is struggling to make it another week? There is no better gift that money can buy than to do something for someone that could never repay you even if they wanted to and you wouldn't accept it even if they could. When the shit hits the fan, all we will have is each other to lean and depend on.....Satan is saying that we won't...God is betting that we will.

It is one of my foibles or strengths, I guess it depends on how ideological ones thinking is as to which it is, but I really think that all the major ideologies and religions have something that is deeply Truthful at their core, whether it is Socialism, Communism, Christianity, capitalism, etc.

I feel kind of like it is a duty to myself to try and understand the core Truth of that system and evaluate it for myself, like one might if ones own son had joined it and you were trying to find out what the allure of it was.

When I was a teen the Baptists and the Church of Christ would have debates during various times, they dont do that any more as I understand it. I had read up on the difference between our faiths prior to and felt comfortable when the debate would start, but when the Baptists got their turn, I would start to feel guilty because they made sense to me, and I felt like I was betraying my own faith.

I talked to my preacher about it, and he said that I shouldnt feel ashamed, and that if we were truly trying to grasp the objective Truth then we would feel a bit moved toward the speaker when he gave his side of the debate, at least until you could consider a response or explore it for yourself. When I went to college though, I met some people who saw open mindedness as a rejection of the faith, and a search for a new Truth because the old Truth was inadequate. I came to believe that that was wrong, and not an honest approach to a search for Truth.

So I expect, and I know that there is a core of Truth to Communism, Socialism, Capitalism, Catholicism, Protestantism, Islam, you name it, or it never would have persuaded so many to join it. The challenge is to see these things as they present themselves, attain a deep understanding, as much as one can, and then fit it into the mosaic of belief systems.

I dont see how one can view human life with respect and to be made in the Image of God unless one does try to understand it in all its forms.

Clayton is correct. The Republican party is a very small and exclusive party. Its views are pretty narrow as well. It only makes a divide and conquer method is used by it to gain power.
