GOP releases midterm election strategy and it's a "hoot".

And how self-defeating has that strategy been? At this point, I think Obama can get away with virtually anything. Everyone will just assume the far right is just screaming "wolf" again and ignore them.

Yea, except he hasn't tried to "get away" with anything so far. But certainly the right has. Congress will refuse to investigate who altered Benghazi emails to frame this administration. That's a crime.

Obama isn't a Republican. He didn't let Bin Laden go. He's not trying to rip off the middle class. He didn't apologize to BP. He has never said, "Let him die". He wants Americans to be able to get an education. He believes in feeding children. And Republicans, because of these positions, see him as a far left "radical".

BINGO!!! We have a winner.

For Biggest Stinking Pile of the Year.

At least you admit they are made up scandals.

I agree with some of that too rdean. He did good with Bin laden and he needs to do better with education. ;)

How do we help the poor become middle class? Takes more education!

Takes more jobs and for today's jobs, you need to have some kind of skill.

Your mistake is in thinking Republicans want to help the middle class. Their policies are designed to stomp the middle class and turn the country into a combination "Christian Taliban Religious Plutocracy". They've turned American helping American into (gasp) "Socialism" and only want to help needy billionaires. They say if you say this you are a liar and exaggerate. But it's what all their policies point to.

"Hoots" must be in short supply on the left. Even the tax exempt Media Matters and newshounds cant generate enough propaganda to camouflage the implosion of the Obama administration.

could we expect anything less from the party of Koch suckers :dunno:

Koch puts hundreds of millions into Medical and Scientific research.....according to your BFF Dean....Republicans/Conservatives just dont do that kinda stuff.....you sure he belongs to the party you say he does?....

Yea, let's take a good look at that:

On Friday, conservative billionaire David Koch lamented the deep federal cuts that are expected to impact both the National Institutes of Health and the National Cancer Institute—and, by extension, MIT's new David H. Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research. "If the cutbacks happen, it will significantly diminish the level of research that can be carried on at the Koch Institute," he said, speaking at the opening of the research center. Koch, the executive vice president of Koch Industries, implored the deep-pocketed attendees of the ceremony to fill the gap with personal donations: "I earnestly ask you to do all you can to help maintain the superb research at the Koch Institute at its maximum level."

But who's responsible for making these crippling cutbacks? Some of the very Republicans that David Koch and his brother, Charles, have bankrolled in their deep-pocketed—and successful—effort to help the GOP win back the House.

-------------------------------------------------------
Hmmmm, now why would Koch fund cancer research?
-------------------------------------------------------

Koch, a prostate-cancer survivor, has given hundreds of millions of dollars to fund cancer research. But this isn't the first time that his devotion to the cause has clashed with his politics. In 2004, he received a presidential appointment to the National Cancer Advisory Board of the National Cancer Institute itself. But in 2010, Koch resigned from the board under public pressure, after a New Yorker article revealed that one of his companies, Georgia-Pacific, produces formaldehyde and lobbied against a federal effort to designate the substance as a known human carcinogen.

David Koch: Lamenting Cancer Research Cuts and Bankrolling the GOPers Behind Them

Kind of a "mixed message".

either way.....he shells out millions.....something you have said Republicans dont do.....so when you say they dont do this....is this a mixed message from you?.....and there was a wealthy Democrat here in OC a few years ago who was backing "research" in finding a cure for cancer only to find out he owned a lot of stock in a Company that was contributing to the cancer he was trying to find a cure for.....he had a red face too.....oh thats right....you think ONLY wealthy Republicans stink....wealthy Democrats are ....."Special".....

Either way? Koch is not doing anything charitable. He is doing it for himself because he has billions.

And don't you guys have any other defense besides, "We think there is a Democrat somewhere who might be doing the same thing"?

The republicans need to drop
-Gay rights/marriage to states
-Lighten up on abortion. Maybe run on 20 weeks?
-Stop coming off anti-infrastructure and science. The left is trying to paint you as such...How about building America???
-Run on tax reform and making government run better.

Screw the cut across the board of even the good stuff.

i said that Dean because you always make it a point to say the person you are talking about is a Republican.....so you can do that but no one else can do likewise.....that's why people here say you are dishonest.....

Koch is not doing anything charitable. He is doing it for himself because he has billions.

oh is that why?.....because he can,but he doesn't really want to.....so i guess Bill Gates does it for the same reason?.....then you wonder why so many here don't take you seriously.....

You can read a copy of the alleged House Republican Conference Planning Kit here: Fighting Washington for All Americans

The HRC is the GOP body tasked with getting Republicans elected and re-elected to the House of Representatives. So it is accurate to say this is a GOP release. It would never have been sent out without the Party's explicit approval.

The very first thing they suggest to do:

Invite local 501(c)3 and 501(c)4 group leaders to your district office to hear stories of how they could have been targeted by the IRS.

The GOP is not big on evidence these days. "Could have" is good enough for the rubes. Interesting they call it telling "stories", too. Fiction.

You know what is really hilarious about this particular item? If you are a 501(c)3 and 501(c)4, that means, by definition, you were APPROVED by the IRS.

The GOP handling of the IRS scandal is an example of a "fake scandal". Did the IRS target Tea Party groups? Perhaps. But the GOP would have you rubes believing, without any evidence to support the claim, that Obama ordered it personally. And that imaginary Obama order, boys and girls, is FAKE. As fake as Obama watching the Benghazi consulate attack through the camera of a drone.

Every single Obama scandal has layers and layers of MANUFACTURED BULLSHIT on top of it.

So now we are going to tell IRS-approved tax exempt organizations they could have been targeted.

Other than that, the HRC plan is run of the mill election strategy. If you are looking for actual solutions being put on the table, you won't find any. That is not the purpose of such a document. However, it does reveal the overarching GOP strategy is to scare the shit out of the rubes. Very revealing. That's what people who are completely bankrupt of good ideas must resort to.

I think House Repubs might be in for a surprise in 2014. ;)

Thinking has never been your strongpoint.

House will not change hands and you better start worrying about the Senate, your boy Nate Silver is concerned.
