1. While most in 'entertainment' are of the Leftist persuasion, and are firm in their demand to eliminate the ownership of guns.....

....many stand right behind this loon:

"Most people, criminals notwithstanding, find the presence of a fully uniformed and armed police officer comforting—knowing someone is there to help protect and defend your safety if needed. A professor at Darton State College in Albany, Ga., apparently felt otherwise. In fact, the anti-gun extremist actually felt “uncomfortable” with having a gun in the classroom and asked that the officer be removed from class."

Not all in the entertainment industry refuse to accede to logic and experience.

2. We all recall this celebration by adherents of the Religion of Peace...(I couldn't resist):

3. A member of that band....which is making a return appearance in Paris this week....was interviewed by French TV channel iTélé, and demanded that reality real its head!
"Eagles of Death Metal's Jesse Hughes: "Until Nobody Has Guns, Everybody Has to Have Them"

"Did your French gun control stop a single fucking person from dying at the Bataclan? If anyone can answer yes, I'd like to hear it."

...Eagles of Death Metal's Jesse Hughes has reaffirmed his opposition to gun control following the deadly attack last November ....

Gun control kind of doesn't have anything to do with it, but if you want to bring it up, I'll ask you: Did your French gun control stop a single fucking person from dying at the Bataclan? If anyone can answer yes, I'd like to hear it. Because I don't think so.

I think the only thing that stopped it was some of the bravest men that I've ever seen in my life, charging headfirst into the face of death, with their firearms.

I know people will disagree with me, but it seems like God made men and women and that night guns made them equal. I hate it that it's that way. I think the only way my mind has been changed is maybe that until nobody has guns, everybody has to have them.

....I don't want to ever see anything like this ever happen again. And I want everyone to have the best chance to live. I saw people die that maybe could've lived. I don't know. But I wish I knew for sure if they could've had a better chance. Because there were some real angels, real wonderful people at that show that aren't alive today. And I really wish they were."

4. "... remembered his terror at encountering a gunman backstage – and argued for universal access to guns.
....tearful interview on Monday that restrictions on guns in France had helped to enable the terrorists.
“I don’t go anywhere in America without a gun anymore. That sucks. And I’m not paranoid. I’m not a cowboy... but I want to be prepared.”

Amen.

PC, you are absolutely right. And all Americans have the right to bear arms. We have a president who wants to control every part of the American experience, chipping sat our right a bit at as time. This nation has to stand together to block the president moves for several more months.

Thank you for another great thread!

Gun Control = No Guns (or almost since almost no one needs one any longer).

And Paris is an example of not too much gun control, but to little. Guns are for killing, those guns in large numbers, obviously...

All this effort for the sake of protecting the loopholes in our background check laws.

I try so hard to protect you from yourself...but then you go ahead and post abject stupidity.

"A customer at a 7-Eleven store outside Seattle shot and killed a masked man who attacked a clerk with an ax early Sunday.
The customer who shot the suspect is described as a 60-year-old Seattle man who visits the store every morning to get coffee. His name was not immediately released.

.... the man who shot the attacker had a concealed carry permit and likely would not face charges as a result of his action.

"This could have been a lot worse,” King County Sheriff’s Sergeant Cindi West told KCPQ. “The clerk could be the one laying there dead on the floor right now.”

Given the choice between having all the gun laws you want…vs. all the religious folks I want…which would produce a better nation?

No one is out to ban all guns .

As for the proff . It's his classroom, and why is the cop showing up in his uniform anyway ? He's not on duty .

Typo in there. Oh well, the point is the same.

And....speaking of large numbers...

1. "According to the National Self Defense Survey conducted by Florida State University criminologists in 1994, the rate of Defensive Gun Uses can be projected nationwide to approximately 2.5 million per year -- one Defensive Gun Use every 13 seconds."
Source: "Armed Resistance to Crime: The Prevalence and Nature of Self-Defense with a Gun," by Gary Kleck and Marc Gertz, in The Journal of Criminal Law & Criminology, Northwestern University School of Law, Volume 86, Number 1, Fall, 1995

2. "Surveys of American gun owners have found that 4 to 6 percent reported using a gun in self-defense within the previous five years. That is not a very high percentage but, in a country with 300 million people, that works out to hundreds of thousands of defensive uses of guns per year.

Although most defensive uses of guns do not involve actually shooting, nevertheless the total number of criminals killed by armed private citizens runs into the thousands per year. A gun can also come in handy if a pit bull or some other dangerous animal is after you or your child."

Ah, no guns or religion...

That wasn't a choice.

Wanna try again?

Anecdotes don't mean squat . Hell, the other day you had that pro gun lady shot by her own four year old .

I like the stats from the guy who used a sock puppet to review his own book, and say what a great professor he was...

Can anyone help poor PC out here?

Detecting the palpable fear you evince when considering this query...
"Given the choice between having all the gun laws you want…vs. all the religious folks I want…which would produce a better nation?"

One can only conclude that the correct response would deep six your worldview.

You leftists hate religion.....
I recognize it here:
" As one of his friends later recalled, "Vladimir Ilych Ulyanov (Lenin) had the courage to come out and say openly that famine would have numerous positive results...Famine, he explained....would bring about the next stage more rapidly, and usher in socialism, the stage that necessarily followed capitalism.Famine would also destroy faith, not only in the tsar, but in God, too." The Black Book of Communism, p.123-124.

. Of course, every permutation of Leftist doctrine is based, to a greater or lesser degree, on opposition to religion. Every one of its political forms inveighs against spiritual beliefs, and advances materialistic ones.

Here is one of the ineluctable consequences:
The famine, the mass murder, the genocides, was largely a weapon against religion....

"…vs. all the religious folks I want…"

And just what kind of folks are these? And how do they feel about living in a, by law, secular nation?
