The particular priest is a nut...and should have been defrocked a long time ago...but there is a story that he made an appearence at an anti gun rally...protected by men with guns....this seems to be typical of gun grabbing activists...they demand we give up our guns or have them taken away...and they do this behind a screen of men carrying guns....to keep them safe...

Well, here is a perfect example. An anti-gun priest, Father Michael Pfleger, in Chicago, IL allegedly showed up to anti-gun rally with… drum roll please… three armed guards!

How did we know? There were one hundred gun owners present, many – if not most there – had concealed carry licenses and/or were firearms trainers. Moms Demand Action leader Shannon Watts (and other MDA executives) has also been known to roll with a crew of armed guards.

Monday, the "Stop Concealed Carry Coalition" announced it would fight any bill that would legalize carrying concealed firearms in Illinois, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The coalition includes Alderman Ricardo Munoz (22nd), Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin and Father Michael Pfleger, among others, reports WBEZ. According to a statement, the coalition has already collected more than 6,700 signatures on an anti-concealed carry petition the group plans to deliver to state lawmakers and Gov. Pat Quinn.

Fighting against the right to carry a weapon for self defense....? Seems like he was working against the right to keep "and bear" arms to me...

Thanks. So I see a HuffPo article quoting him in the concealed carry bill, thus:

“Those who have tried to make guns part of America’s wardrobe and folks like the NRA and others, who work very hard to try to impose fear among so many people to think a gun is the only way to protect you,” Pfleger said on CBS Chicago.​

-- what's the issue with that? You think a gun IS the only way then?

And your other link goes to a page that says in black title letters, "Pfleger urges Archdiocese to take stronger stand against guns" and a big black square that does nothing. Which I already knew about, his trying to get guns banned from his church, which duh, should be a no-brainer. Read the Wiki page already too.

But where do any of these say, indicate or imply anything relating to "gun grabbing" or "working against Americans’ God-given rights to keep and bear arms and self-defense"?

I think that people have a God given right to choose to carry a weapon for their own self defense or that of their family...and in a violent criminal attack, a gun is your best bet to come out healthy and alive...

The only way...no...in an encounter with a violent criminal...yes, it is the most efficient way of dealing with a violent attacker...especially if you are smaller, weaker, a senior citizen, outnumbered, physically handicapped or injured, or if they attack you with a knife, gun or club...

Anything else is 2nd tier....knives come next, then clubs, and farthest down the list...pepper spray or empty hands...
