I ask those of you have an iota of intellect, which excludes a great many of those who will respond with predictable outrage, but will any serious attempt to try to overthrow the president become such a divisive issue not seen since the Civil War?

Trump's approval has inched up despite the MSM's endless reporting of "scandals" ranging from a grand conspiracy theory of collusion to Russian hooker and now to a tired porn star.
RealClearPolitics - Election Other - President Trump Job Approval

Apparently, disappointingly few give a trollop's ass, preferring instead to ignore the selective self-righteousness of the media and acknowledge the significant accomplishments of the president which are undeniable.

Could any attempt to remove the president from office result in the demise of America as we know it? I put it to you.

I agree that impeachment is a recipe for disaster. The only play for the Dems is to beat Trump through an election. I wouldn’t say that Trump is unstoppable though. As much as I’d like to see our two party system work together it appears that obstruction and degradation of character is the formula that each is using to advance their agenda.

We saw it with the Republicans during Obama, the the most notable obstruction/advancement being their blocking of Garland which resulted in Gorsuch. And now we see the Dems doing it to Trump, most notably with the blocking of his attempt to repeal and replace Obamacare.

We will see how the character assasinations will play out in the midterms but it is looking like it will result in a power switch. Sad state we are in when our leaders are rewarded for acting like bully children. It’s how Trump won the election. Shameful

It is hard to believe a cowardly liar, draft dodger and cat grabber is even president. He appears to have the intelligence and insight of a twelve year old except when it comes to stirring up hate for Americans by Americans. Money manages the mind of America today but its people seem not to notice.

BUT you have to admit how great Trump is picking those to serve in his cabinet and the WH

Your equivocation of Garland to impeachment is indeed bizarre, but the content of your post was at least civil and otherwise reasonable.

This is the nonsense I was trying to avoid, but I get this is a public forum. It is also the reason that I believe Trump has become unstoppable, in a sense.

Trump is totally stoppable but not by a party controlled by racists, Identity politics and is so pro-urban that they are losing rural voters by droves.

Impeachment will gain Democrats and the country nothing, as Pence would become president – someone worse than Trump.

The best course of action is to rid the Nation of Trump by voting him out of office in 2020.

Even FOX knows
Fox News host Neil Cavuto ended his show on Thursday by rattling off a long list of falsehoods repeated by President Donald Trump.

"I guess you’re too busy draining the swamp to ever stop and smell the stink you’re creating."

I wasn’t equivocating Garland to impeachment, I was showing how each party is using obstruction to successfully advance their agenda and the sad reality that it is now becoming the norm of how our politicians operate. Collaberation and cooperation are flying out the window and partisanship seems to be ruling the day. I don’t know how we can reverse it, but I suspect if we continue down this path then we are in big trouble.

Hyper partisanship is the kind of thing that will lead to an impeachment or the jailing of political opponents and those are triggers for a civil war of sorts. I stated at the beginning of my last post that impeachment of Trump would be a disaster. The only way we survive it is if there is clear unrefutable evidence of a serious crime. But even with that he will spin it as a deep state conspiracy and his base will follow. I hope it doesn’t come to that.

He will stay in office I am sure of it. Now, what qualities does Trump have that makes you think he is unstoppable?

I fear you missed the point my challenged friend. It is indeed not Trump "qualities" that has made him perhaps "unstoppable", but of those who oppose him.

Unless he does something frankly stupid like going under oath…he won’t get impeached.

Trump won 3 states that swung the election by a total of less than 100,000 votes between the three. Obviously, the voters were interested in change last time around and he has done little except reinforce he’s more of the same. He golfs more than Obama, insults you by lying to your face more than any President since Nixon, has no coherent policy or strategy to address any issue facing the nation…

It's an open forum. I get that. I was trying to avoid ding bat input though.

I wasn’t equivocating Garland to impeachment,
Now you're insulting our intelligence. Of course you were. An equivocation is not a difficult thing to comprehend.
The funny thing is that you are actually equivocating right now by avoiding the topic of conversation and playing these word games about whether I was equivocating or not. I explained what my Garland reference was to, and that was obstruction, I also explained my view of impeachment which has nothing to do with my Garland reference.

So how about you explain how I was equivocating because right now you are looking like a pretty big hypocrite.
