Hasan Supports The Taliban

A Palestinian who murdered 13 Americans in a "workplace violence" incident admitted his support for the Taliban and a Muslim American who murdered an American soldier in Little Rock, during jury selection today. Who woulda thunk it?

OMG OMG OMG. What a surprise. The Palestinian Jihadi animal also supports the Taliban. How unusual.

But who cares about Hasan, KSM, OBL, shoe/underwear/pressure cooker bombers when we can go back decades and talk about Shamir, Liberty, Igrun....?

I'm just waiting for Coyote to come here, question the source of this information, defend Hasan, and demand that we prove to her satisfaction that he is guilty of anything.

"The Israelis are stealing Palestinian land and major Hasan had every right to kill his fellow officers in cold blood. After all, what other choice did he have? There are no other options available to him".

"And how do you know those officers didn't attack major Hasan first, and he's not just defending himself as any oppressed, occupied freedom fighter would?"

"There are plenty of instances of Americans attacking Muslims and Arabs, so why do we highlight this case, and not the other ones involving American attacks?"

Samples of Palestinian Mentality(TM) and it's supporters, at its finest.

If you post "@coyote" it will catch my attention.

I have never defended Hasan - he's a nut who murdered people - I hope he's convicted and pays for his crimes.

If you don't like your sources being questioned...well why do you question the sources of others?

He is not a Palestinian. He is an American.

His parents immigrated from Palestine. He happened to be born here. In my opinion he is about as American as Yasser Arafat.

I don't see anyone saying that here, but you.

If you guys can't fight over the knitting, then you'll fight over the needles. Of course he supports the Taliban.

This isn't discussing. It's simply finger pointing and accusing. I've come to the conclusion that many of you like this form of 'discussion'.

Bloodrock44, Ropey, reabhloideach, Coyote, et al,

Let's talk technical for a moment and nip something in the bud.

There is no magic bullet, super test, tool or profile that we can use to determine the loyalty, integrity and character of a person relative to identifying them as a potential threat as a hostile insurgent, espionage operative, saboteur, terrorist, or asymmetric fighter. Being a Palestinian-American is no more of a risk than an Italian-American or German-American or any other "X" Brand-American.

There is about a million men & women in the Army Uniform (Active Duty, Guard & Reserve). There are additionally a huge number of contractors, researchers, spot specialists, and other civilians of all sorts that have a connection to the service. We simply do not have the research and data points to detect, exploit and/or neutralize these risks. It takes a lot of feet on the ground pounding the pavement.

But in regards to MAJ Nidal Malik Hasan, he's like any other American in uniform. There could be a hundred like him --- or --- he could be one of a kind. We simply don't know.
The Army Counterintelligence Program isn't that strong.

Most Respectfully,
R

And it's not the first time an army man went psycho for their own reasons. It's also not unusual for people with emotional instabilities to find a career in psychiatry/psychology.

Now I'm not confusing this man and what he did. He did a murderous criminal act against his own country and his military family. The Americans have every right to be angry.

I'm just not attaching to that event the view that many extremists have and which give them too much airplay and drown out the more moderate.

The extremists are doing that and they're also saying that they had a good part to play in it and that he's a hero.

So, a man who was searching and aimless, found the army and psychological discipline to give him what he needed.

What would that be? Something to define him.

Then during his search he became radicalized through his own inability to find his definition as an American, a US Military Man, A Psychologist and finally as a successful extremist.

Guns do not kill people. People kill people. It was his choice.

Not the extremists.

He's an American citizen born and raised and educated in America. My ancestry is Welsh - am I any less of an American? There are others here, who are second generation - are they not American?
