I had a couple friends freak out in a major way because I supported Ron Paul, back when RP was running for president....and one of them told me I was going to hell for that. The whole thing was ridiculous, and really sad.

But other than that, I've never had a problem with friends or family for having different political beliefs. Me either. Some of my best friends are exact opposites and we know that about each other too. On the other hand, some of my friends know nothing about my political affiliation and I think they would be quite surprised if they knew.
