My brother bought me a $500 Martin. It was on sale so for sure the best guitar I’ve ever had. But I put it down for a couple years. When I tried to get back into it, my fingers hurt. A friend noticed the strings were too far from the guitar and recommended I take it to Guitar Center and they can fix it for $70.

I got it back. It’s soooo much easier to play now. What happened? I didn’t have dehumidifier packets n my case.

it can be plugged into an amp but it’s an acoustic and I don’t need an amp.

I have to admit I sound good! Lol

A good setup makes all the difference. A good setup can make the difference between a new player getting discouraged and walking away and continuing to learn and play.

The further you have to push the strings down, the more force you have to apply, because of the string tension.

I thought my hand was just out of shape.

I’ll never forget to keep a dehumidifier pack in my case too. My guitar wasn’t bad when I first got it.

I’m playing

1. It’s times like these we learn to live again. Foo fighters?

2. Rumor Lee Brice

3. Without you by kid Leroi

Sparky, hubby plays music, mostly guitar also keyboard and some drums.
He hasn't played in a while though. He will bring it out now and then.
His amp now is a Fender and Custom amp. One of his brothers passed away and left him and other brethren's guitars and amps he has to go pick up one day. Marshal Pro 3 electric guitars.

I have a Seagull S6 for small hands; I'm very petite. It's a workhorse acoustic with a big body, which is what I need in the classroom. I love it, but I'm no real guitarist. For me the guitar, while fun and lovely, is a vehicle for something else.

This helped inspire me to start playing again.
