I just saw a couple of Anderson Cooper who were the ones who sheltered the two year old after his parents were killed. The husband in the couple made as logical and intelligent a statement as any on the issue of guns, I paraphrase as he spoke about not wanting to be political, said he loved his country etc, but, "no person suffering from a mental illness should have access to an AR-15".

I concur. This guy should not have had guns, especially with his history. His parents bear some responsibility considering this guys past.

My post is of an unrelated matter concerning the youtube interview you link. It is with some spokesperson for the Southern Poverty Law Center. This is an extremely biased left wing organization, yet are showered by the MSM and democrats as some exalted body for identifying hate groups. Like Snopes, except far more pernicious in who they attack or how they influence the public narrative.

O course, I had to go at least 10 pages in on a Google search to find one link critical of this SPLC group. Google is as biased of a political and social influencer as any Big Tech social network. They are bad people, imo. One excerpt from the website I did find ----------- Originally formed as a watchdog group to track the Ku Klux Klan and other violent extremist groups, the group these days has become a money-making giant which uses its mailing list prowess to rake in millions of dollars, much of which it stashes in offshore bank accounts. It accomplishes this by labeling any conservative group it doesn’t like as a “hate group,” effectively lumping organizations like the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) and the Family Research Council (FRC) in with skinheads, Nazis and the Klan simply because ADF and FRC, along with millions of Americans, believe that marriage should be reserved to one man and one woman.
