Where does your hope lie?
1. God. God is the source of everything, therefore, he can supply all your needs.
2. The state. You look to "democracy" to deal out justice, to feed the poor, to evict dictators around the globe, to reduce global pollution and to "save the earth" etc.
3. Yourself. You depend soley on your ability to reason. You trust in no one but yourself. In fact, you believe in yourself and have learned to love yourself etc.
4. Other people. You depend on certain people giving you meaning and purpose in life and to fulfill your desires.
5. You have lost hope.
