How a supporter of 2nd Amendment would actually do gun control, vs. gun owner control....

As a defender of the 2nd Amendment it is obvious that anti gun extremists don't care about stoppping gun crime.......they always target normal gun owners, the very people who do not commit crime with guns. The anti gunners create gun laws that do not effect criminals or mass shooters and then slap themselves on the back as gun crime goes on and on......so they can then enact more gun control on law abiding citizens.....

This is my suggestion for actual gun control......which is actually criminal control...because the sole purpose should be to stop the violent, criminal use of guns....not turning normal gun owners, who commit no crimes and shoot no one, into felons for clerical errors.....

If you use a gun to commit a crime...you get 10 years added to any sentence for using a gun to commit the crime.

If you use a gun that uses a magazine to commit a crime you get another 10 years added to your sentence.

so...let's say you rob a store....and would normally get 1.5 years? Now you are facing 21.5 years because you used a gun and you used a gun with a magazine...

See how that works...it actually targets violent criminals who use guns to commit violent crimes...and leaves normal, non violent gun owners alone.

Now....here is another part....

If you are a convicted violent offender (I don't know if this would apply to non violent felons I am thinking on it) and you are caught in possession of a gun....with no other crime, simply caught with a gun.....you get a 10 year sentence.

If you are a convicted violent offender and are caught with a gun that uses a magazine...you get another 10 year sentence on top of the first 10 years...for a total of 20 years for possessing, and or carrying a gun as a felon.....

That is how you reduce actual gun crime by actual violent, criminals....

And this is the case in point, the muslim assassin who tried to murder the police officer....

Under my gun control laws....he would still be in jail.......and not shooting police officers......

Philly cop ambushed “in the name of Islam” with … stolen police gun; Update: Got slap on the wrist in 2013?

Update: Jammie Wearing Fool notes the erstwhile assassin’s history:

The man who is suspected of opening fire on a Philadelphia Police officer in West Philly late Thursday night pleaded guilty in 2013 to an armed assault that had taken place a few blocks away the year prior — however a plea deal kept him out of prison. …

Archer was tracked down by police in 2013 and faced bevy of charges that included aggravated assault, conspiracy, terroristic threats, simple assault and others that involved firearms.

He pleaded guilty last year to carrying a gun without a license, a third-degree felony, and simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor.

According to court documents, Archer was sentenced to nine to 13 months in prison, was allowed to count time served and was paroled. Records show he was arrested April 14, 2013 and was released April 30, 2013 after posting partial bail.

See....he used a gun in 2013 to commit a crime.....10 years.

In all likely hood it had a magazine...another 10 years...

So at a minimum, he would be in jail for well over 20 years, and not out shooting police officers.....

And keep in mind........because of this conviction he could not legally own a gun, he could not pass a current federal background check and could not pass any future Universal Background check, which means he could not buy a gun from a gun store, or gun show, or even a private seller...

He could not get a gun license.

He was actually caught carrying a gun, as a felon, without a license and was out walking the street...and shooting at a police officer......

He pleaded guilty last year to carrying a gun without a license, a third-degree felony, and simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor.

According to Haynes v. United States, he would not be legally required to register his stolen, illegal gun......

And he still got the gun....a gun stolen from the police.....

And had he decided to go to a mall, instead of shooting the police officer..this would have been the 3rd mulsim mass shooting in less than 2 years.....but he just shot one police officer.......

That is how you actually stop gun crime.......tell that to obama and the other gun grabbers....

And this just reinforces the truth about gun crime......the majority...and we are talking over 80%, probably closer to 90%....of all shooters have multiple convictions for crimes before the shooting...

They are not normal gun owners who get a gun and start killing people. They are violent people, with long histories of violence and crime...just like this guy.

And no......normal people with guns do not shoot their families....guys like this do.

A gun in the home is not the problem. In cases of family murder the killer will have a history of crime and violence as well as alcohol and drug abuse or mental illness....the gun is not the problem.....

A normal family with a gun, who does not have a violent criminal as a family member will not be murdered with the family gun.

And as to gun accidents...in 2013 there were over 320 million guns in private hands.... and a total of 505 accidental gun deaths......
