How does an individual LOSE $1 Billion in a year?

the way i see it ? bill clinton used that intern for sex in the oval office then hillary destroyed that young intern.

now they are both role models in their campaign ads.

looks to me as if even the laws of nature don't apply anymore.

finally, i really miss debbie wasserman.

Allowing Mr Trump to keep HIS money is not a bailout.

Tell that to his investors........

.......Even as his companies did poorly, Mr. Trump did well. He put up little of his own money, shifted personal debts to the casinos and collected millions of dollars in salary, bonuses and other payments. The burden of his failures fell on investors and others who had bet on his business acumen.......

You do know that Shillary claimed a 700K loss on her tax personal tax return don't you?

And reporting business profit and loss on your personal tax returns is done all the time with the Form K1 and Schedule C

Two questions:

1. Is Hillary running on the mantra that she is the BEST business person that has ever walked the planet??? or is Trump?

2. Get your little scale out and place on one side $700K and on the other $916 MILLION, and see how THAT turns out?

Investors read, or should have read, the company prospectus.

Risks in a Prospectus

A prospectus is issued as a way of informing investors about the risks involved with investing in a stock or mutual fund. The information also guards the issuing company against claims that pertinent information was not fully detailed before the investor put money into a security.

Risks are typically disclosed early in the prospectus and described in more detail later. The age of the company, amount of management experience and involvement in the business, and capitalization of the stock issuer are described. A table detailing which people own stock is included and should be studied to determine whether the principals are holding onto their stock. If shares are being liquidated, there may be a financial issue with the business.

and you didn't bail him out as he got no money from the government he just used the loss to reduce his taxable income just like Shillary did

Who paid for the airports where Trump....who has paid no taxes......lands his jet plane while claiming a billion in losses?

Fantastic....NOW the victims of Trump's scams are the bad guys.........An impressive "defense".....LOL

He's not extremely successful when compared to his peers.

I didn't say he was I said there is not one extremely successful business man who has not lost money at one time or another

So that a mediocre businessman loses money on a deal here and there should not surprise anyone

An awful lot of money.

So what? It was his money wasn't it?

And at the end of a career the losses don't matter as much as the final tally

The entire premise of his campaign is that he's great at business and would use those skills to better America. It seems he's not really that good at all.

https://www.google.com/amp/www.forb...state-business/amp/?client=ms-android-verizon

One loss in one year over a career that spans 40 plus years and with a pretty good end tally.

If you want to talk losses of scale Shillary's one year loss of over 700K was pretty significant in proportion to her business holdings but you don't care about that
700K in one year with no exemption going forward.
Yet still paid 35% on $10 million.
There is no comparison.

You are not an investor. The investors are typically millionaires - they can take care of themselves.

You are nothing more than Killary's useful idiot.

Exactly how did Trump lose a billion dollars in a year?

Trump brags about how smart he is and the concept of OPM
Other Peoples Money

He makes money while others take the risk. How did Trump end up losing close to a billion dollars of his own money?

Not as smart as he claims

SHUT THE FUCK UP.

GOOGLE LOST 802 MILLIONS DOLLARS IN 2015

.

And what percent of their worth is that.
What percent was Trump's?

Did Google take the loss or did the owner take it on his individual taxes?

No comparison.

Google how many other casinos folded in 1995 and you'll have a better understanding of Trump's business "acumen"...

Trump has the Midas touch in reverse, especially for his pissed off backers.

Yep, a tremendous business man. A genius.

Donald Trump's Bankruptcies

OMFG you mean Trump is the first person to use other peoples' money in a business venture?

If Trump used OPM....how did he end up losing a billion of his own money?

How did Obama lose $10 trillion in 8 years?

That money is gone FOREVER.

We will NEVER decrease the debt to the level it was at before Obama took office.

NEVER.

The debt will balloon to like $100 trillion and the service on the debt will end up being 50% of our total economy and we will suffer a financial collapse just like Greece. That's what the liberals want, and they will get it. The bubblehead millennials that voted for Obama and are now moving back in with their parents IN THEIR 30s will have to clean up the mess....good luck.

Impressive. No doubt a large portion of his net worth.

I suppose you think anyone with a net worth of say 100 million is a failure because they lost a few million here and there over a lifetime

Losing a BILLION in an upward market makes Trump (as he boasts) the "best businessman in the world"???? Really ??? LOL

He made bad business decisions obviously. Let's see, bad business sense, temperament of a nine year old, orange....YEAH, HE CAN BE PRESIDENT!

Google is worth $392 billion.
Apples and oranges.

Taj Mahal opened in '90 with $3 billion in debt. It was in bankruptcy in' 91. Trump had a $900 million personal liability.

That is in no way good business.

The simple question that right wingers REFUSE to address is a simple one.......

When one makes so MANY bad business decisions (capital losses, bankruptcies, tax avoidance, etc.)
HOW THE FUCK does one run on the mantra that he's the "best businessman to ever exist"????
