How Trump handles old women

Vera Coking, had owned property near the Trump Plaza Hotel for three decades, and didn’t want to move. Trump thought the land was better suited for use as a park, a parking lot, and a waiting area for limousines. He tried to negotiate, at one point offering Coking $1 million for the land. But she wasn’t budging. So New Jersey’s Casino Reinvestment Development Authority filed a lawsuit, instructing Coking to leave within 90 days and offering compensation of only $251,000.

eminent domain ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

want to make new friends, and see new places ?

screw with The Donald.

I remember when the supreme court thought this was OK. Not one single democrat complained. I guess they figure that if we are are all sharing property then I guess it is OK to share it for the common good. In this case it was OK to do so as long as we were doing it for the common good. It wasn't for roads or any other public infrastructure project but it was for the common good. I guess if corporations are going to run the economic system then allowing them to obtain property for the 'common good' then it is OK. Screw the little guy who wants to hold onto his land for whatever reason he wants because in this new economy individuals are not as important as the whole.

I can have all those things without eminent domain, but even if I couldn't I wouldn't support eminent domain since I cannot support immorality for the sake of convenience.
But that is a power derived from the Constitution.
The Constitution is a piece of paper it's not the basis of my morality, taking a peaceful persons property using force is a violation of both property rights and the non-aggression principle and thus I consider it immoral and could not in good conscience support it. It's theft plain and simple just because it's theft sanctioned by government doesn't change that fact.
While I get your point, and applaud it, I love me some Constitution lol.
If we didn't have ED (lol) we wouldn't have the advancements we do. Such as the ability to live to 75.
The government really owns everything anyways. You NEVER stop making payments on land.
Based on what?

ED is not the basis for which we advance society. What we would have is a road or 2 that curved in a few places around an empty lot (after the owners realized living in the middle of a freeway is less fun than selling their land).
How could we advance if no one wanted to sell their land. We cant just make more..
EDIT : I guess we could take pointers from China LOL
What makes you think advancement is based on taking land? That is a ludicrous position.

How else would they build the places for work? Or get electricity to it to perform tests and analysis? Or the roads to get there?

Trump has had THREE wedding cakes, which makes him holier than gays. I can see why evangelicals would like him...

Gotta love the title on the Vanity Fair cover - "family values". He had a bastard daughter and cheated on his wives.

But hey, lying and cheating sex scandals haven't stopped other Repub Clowns - Gingrich, for example. The worst was Santorum. He passed hush money to get his fellow slimy "family values" clowns out of nasty little sex mess they had gotten into and he still acts like he's squeaky clean.

These are all proven cases and yet the holier than thou types have the nerve to talk about President Clinton.

Drumpf ran four companies into bankruptcy, refuses to pay his bills and sues anyone who dares to demand they be paid while Clinton saved the US four times.

Do you know realize there's a difference between wanting to sell and being forced to sell?

I did not like Trump's actions in the VERA thing----he should have offered her more
money
She should have taken the million. That was her mistake. Trump offered a million. She turned it down which sent the state scooting in to snap up the property at bargain basement screw the old lady prices. Which they probably sold to Trump for the million.

Do you believe that eminent domain gets deployed for every "places of work", road or power line (or any other infrastructure you can name)? The country can operate just fine relying solely on reason and negotiation as the basis for property transactions, stealing peoples land isn't required.

By buying and building on land that people willingly sell.

Seriously. This is 99.99% of all infrastructure building already. Why does outright theft have to be legal for that last sliver. Cant get the land willingly for your casino or road then build it on land that is willing to sell.

I almost pity Democrats at this point, all there forced hopes on Hillary and she's about to crash, the desparation in palpable.

Do you believe that eminent domain gets deployed for every "places of work", road or power line (or any other infrastructure you can name)? The country can operate just fine relying solely on reason and negotiation as the basis for property transactions, stealing peoples land isn't required.
Fair enough. To you and faq2.

Flag on the play TN, you're supposed to call us all sorts of nasty names and impugn our characters, after all being so agreeable with those who disagree with you is completely against all the rules here.

Now go back and rewrite it and this time include an acceptable amount of invective. :p

"I should do something very extroverted and vengeful to you. Honestly, I'm too tired. So, I think I'll transfer you to the undergrowth department, brackens, more shrubs, that sort of thing... with a 19% cut in salary, backdated to the beginning of time." -- The Supreme Being, Time Bandits

so you don't believe in infrastructure and overall economic improvements?
If you agree with GOP policies under Reagan, Bush, Bush and Obama, then clearly, no.
