I am a writer and a poet as well. I have not done much of that recently (in my old age - I am 79) but between age 35 through 55, I did a lot of writing and poetry, some of which has been published nationally,

My first marriage was not good but when I divorced and met my present wife, I did write this poem, which is my favorite of all and everything I have ever written. I was 54 when I wrote this:

I Am In Love

"I am in love" is a very simple statement
And one that’s said a million times a day
And yet I know my feelings are much deeper
Than those simple words can ever say

How can I have you feel the tremors
That shake my body when I think of you?
Or have you know the awesome power
You have to take away my "blue"?

I wake up every single morning
And thoughts of you pervade my mind
I go to sleep each and every evening
And feel your soul cuddling to mine

And in between those waking moments
My heart is filled with pure and utter joy
For just the knowledge of your love for me
Makes me feel like an innocent young boy

My days are filled with brim and fervor
As everything I see or touch I like
And everyone who I meet in person
Seems to draw upon my smiling sight

I love the way you make me feel
So full of purpose and of goals
And yet I know that when I’m with you
I tend to lose my learned controls

The physical desire I feel within me
Is unlike any I have ever known before
For I dream of being deep inside of you
In mind, body, heart and soul

My love for you is endless
In fact it grows much every day
I know that as time goes forward
It will expand in every way

This love I have for you inside of me
Is greater than the one I have for my own self
As I would gladly sacrifice my very existence
If it meant your happiness and health

So when they ask "Do you truly, really love her?"
I can surely answer "Yes, I really, truly do"
For I know true love requires giving
And I am giving all I have to you.

There are only a few GREAT PLEASURES in life. Being in love is one of them. Isn't it great? I envy you.

Cumming is one. Eating something you love. Sleeping in. Hitting a home run. Or the rush big time wrestlers get when they walk down to the ring and either get booed or cheered. Getting drunk or high. What else? What are some of the other things in live money can't buy or that are free?

Flying or skydiving? Or diving off a high dive into a pool?

Yes, I agree. Here is another poem that addresses what you said

A World Inside

A welcome kiss with arms on fire
Two tongues merging in wild desire
A frantic shedding of ones clothes
Making sure that it all goes

The door is locked, the world outside
Paradise found by those inside
Skin to skin the bodies touch
Senses feel, almost too much

Fingers stroke those hidden spots
Exploring wildly with such lust
Hands caress the human flesh
As passion explodes anew and fresh

Emotions bloom on hot seared sighs
As ardor takes them to new highs
Lips that blend into each other
Creating sweat that turns to lather

Bodies dash to fulfill a dream
To belong together as coffee and cream
Merging passionately into one
Exchanging fluids when they are done

Loving kisses given as an aftermath
Eyes tenderly tracing an adoring path
Souls to discover the fertile ground
Where love will bloom and stay around

Night ends with sweet surrender
Mates for life they will remember
Moments where they first did know
That God blessed this union with a glow
