If racism was systematic (fundamental) in society why didn't Obama fix it in eight years? Rap singers are richer than some small countries. Black people are teachers, astronauts, doctors, military heroes and common folks like everyone else. Bigotry isn't necessarily based on skin color. TV network's payback for "blackface skits" of the 20's and 30's was the 60's and 70's portrayal of southern white folk as ignorant drunks. You could make a case that "The Beverly Hillbillys" and "Hee Haw" programs were profoundly insulting to the only social outcast left on the planet, the Southern White Man, but everybody laughed. (White) Evangelist Christians were targets for the late 80's and 90's systemic persecution by the federal government. Green Beret Veteran Randy Weaver moved to rural Idaho when he became a target of federal cops. His 12 year old son was shot in the back and killed and his wife was shot in the head by a FBI sniper while she was holding her 18 month daughter in her arms. His crime was failure to appear in court on a charge of cutting a shotgun barrel 1/2 inch below federal rules. Riot? Nobody even cared at the time because the Weaver family was white and rural and and the media branded them as cultish evangelistic Christians.
