I got offered two new jobs today and I'm looking for regional advice

Denver and Dallas are both great cities with plus and minus considerations.

Talk to professionals the same as you there for their advice and information.
 
If you choose Denver, use a lower gear for driving up and down those mountains. Have your brakes checked regularly.
