Idaho Dems panic After Conservative Takeover of GOP — as Republicans Poised to End RINO Rule by Outlawing ‘Cross-Over Voting’...New sheriff in town!

I prefer a open primary as you don't have to declare gop or dem.....I don't want to carry either's water.
NO!

You vote for the party that you're registered in.....Playing "independent" so you can take whatever ballot you want in the primary just opens up the system for things like Rush Limbaugh's "Operation Chaos"....Amusing on its surface, corrosive in the end.

Why should Dems be allowed to cross over to cancel real Repubs votes in a primary to choose the GOP candidate?

Nothing will prevent them from voting Repub in the general election but that's never the plan.
It's always just to get the worst RINO against a much worse proggy Dem so, worst case & the Dem loses, you have a limp wristed sissy that will do as told.

It should be left up to the party wither to have a primary convention and pay for it themselves or a open primary at taxpayer's expense. If they want to go cheap with a open primary then they get all comers.

Citizens should not be forced to declare for a party one way or the other and then have to pay for the privilege on top of it. There is no such thing as a registered dem or gop voter in Virginia as far as being recognized by the state as such.

A party choosing a candidate selection by convention is the fairest way to go for all involved.....It keeps things within the party and they pay for it.

That's how Youngkin & Co. was selected here in Virginia and it seems to have worked out just fine. ;)

No open primaries.

As an independent I don't vote in primaries.
That's fine as I think a party's strength or weakness is determined by who they choose to represent them. That way a party can't bitch that the "great unwashed" picked someone they did not want because they either switched partys in the lead-up to the primary or the opposing party was playing games in a open primary.

To be honest it smacks of early America where party candidates were not selected by the public to run in the general election but by a congress of their peers of the same party......The public then chose between the slate the partys put forth in the general election or not.....Exactly how it should be.

The problem now is both partys want the public to pay for everything.

Yeah, for the partys, not for the taxpayer. Why should a Independent pay for it?

What, mad because they took another way to cheat from ya?

How is it cheating? People should be allowed to vote freely. You are the people that are doing everything in your power to limit voting.

What is it you are afraid of?

Nothing.....We are going to beat you so bad your KKK ancestors will have bruises.

That and we have put other measures in place.
