If Women Ran the World

Critical Drinker just gave a synopsis of episode 3. It’s so freakin cringe that it’s hilarious.

They made the Jedi the bad guys, trying to take away the twins who both were born from “2 mothers”, and the galaxy doesn’t accept lesbians.

This isn’t a joke, that‘s what they actually did in the episode. It’s that bad.

Wow. My mustwatch list is increasing.
And who said that the Jedi are good guys (even in the original episodes)?

Really. What is the opening text in the very first (fourth) episode?
--------
Episode IV, A NEW HOPE It is a period of civil war. Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire. During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire’s ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet. Pursued by the Empire’s sinister agents, Princess Leia races home aboard her starship, custodian of the stolen plans that can save her people and restore freedom to the galaxy….

From the very first words it's become clear, that there is a civil war. And civil wars rarely are "black and white" with the obvious good and bad sides. When a storyteller tell us that Galactic Empire (or Russia, or America, or China) is "evil" it doesn't mean that this social structure is really evil. It just mean that the storyteller already had picked up a side, and suggest us to join him. And usually it's enough for a few-hour journey.

But with the further development of the story, story must become more realistic to be more believable. If your Galactic Empire is logical - it's not evil. And vice versa, if you want to paint someone else as pure evil - you must make it illogical. Like picturing Soviet officers in not existing uniforms with the meaningless set of decorations or totally meaningless Bucha's massacre.

That's the difference. And that's why I call Star Wars universe - "the truth wrapped in lie", and, say, "Winds of war" (or the whole BBC-universe) - "the lie wrapped in truth".

And yes, there was the period when the world was literally ran by women. Right after seven-year war, in which Frederick the Great of Prussia (and his British and other allies) had to fight with a coalition of the three strongest continental powers and their allies, dubbed by him the "union of three women" (Holy Roman Empress Maria Theresa, Elizabeth of Russia and Madame Pompadour of France) and was defeated by them.

Who the hell is Joel Berry? First you have to define "woman". Wouldn't you think that genetic women would protect their daughters from creepy confused boys in skirts in their lockers and showers? Wouldn't you think genetic women would protect their athletic daughters from competing with biological men? WTF happened?
