Zone1 If you don't believe in the real Jesus and His Church, you are a heretic

Do you believe in Brahma, Vishnu, or Allah?
If you are trying to argue there are multiple gods instead of multiple perceptions of God that's a pretty dumb argument.

These faiths have more in common with each other than they do with atheism. Again, for the purpose of this discussion (belief in God) there's just two groups; those that do and those that don't. If you want to call me a heretic with respect to other religions, I'm fine with that.

Christianity and islamism maybe, islam is basically just slimmed down christianity.

But hinduism? That's totally different.

Is it? I suspect it's your understanding of Hinduism that is confusing you. Hindus claim to be the world's oldest monotheistic religion. It's actually henotheism but henotheism is still monotheism. It's their version of a Trinity.

Oldest yes, monotheistic?

Nope.

One supreme god and many smaller ones.

Henotheism is basically "one god at a time".

And don't even get me started on the whole trinity thing.

Some forms of Hinduism believe in a single God, such as Krishnaism, some schools of Vedanta, and Arya Samaj. Advaita Vedanta, for example, is monistic and views Brahman as unchanging and undifferentiated from reality.

Because reddit says so?

lol.

I'm done here.

Have a nice day.

You too. Just remember life isn't fair. Expect to make sacrifices or suffer.
I have a 4 year supply of Brawndo and popcorn laid on. Ready for any surprises at this point.

Slimmed down? Maybe. But at least they didn't embrace the Greek tradition of 'the god' with relatives.

Yeah, they dropped everything after the old testament and rewrote it with prophets instead of jesus.

The old greek gods were much more entertaining.

Entertaining, without a doubt. But ironically, especially when Islam is considered a backward religion by someone now, it was a huge step forward.

From what? christianity?

They have a very similar perception of god. They just skipped jesus.
Jesus is considered as a prophet there. But it is the main point. They abandoned polytheism altogether.

I've seen too much of this world.
Does this mean that the bad you have seen in this world has led you to the conclusion there is no God? If so...how do you explain the love, goodness, and joy that is also seen in this world?

Randomness.
